Since when does the shooter have a say in who's at fault?Chizzang wrote:Ask him...Ibanez wrote:So...a white guy kills people and it's Trump and Grand Theft Auto's fault.

That's the conundrum, isn't it? Tie a person up in the legal system too long and you end up with the bad press of a Meek Mill case. Don't do that, like with this guy (and he's done multiple prison stints) and you get criticized for not holding a person longer. The Philly DA is Larry Krasner (was a former defense attorney) and he came into office preaching the concept of less or no prison time and lessening the severity of most of the criminal justice code. It would seem this guy's past track record is an example of how that idea could go wrong.dbackjon wrote:Ibanez wrote:So...a white guy kills people and it's Trump and Grand Theft Auto's fault.

The judges and DA's that kept letting him go?

But to be fair, not a lot of his former transgressions would've resulted in extended jail time from the current DA either. He didn't get out of jail because of overcrowding or lack of money. He just hadn't done anything as violent as what he just did yesterday.dbackjon wrote:GannonFan wrote:

All of his releases were under the former "tough guy". Prison needs to concentrate on the violent criminals. But when we fill them up with pot smokers, you run out of room and money.

No one is in prison for simply smoking pot.dbackjon wrote:GannonFan wrote:
