No. That stuff about Biden and his son is nonsense. There is no "there" there at all with that stuff. Biden simply relayed the position of the United States as well as the other Western democracies. His son was not under investigation. That whole thing is just one more indication of how bad it's gotten on the conservative side with the misinformation and nonsense.CitadelGrad wrote:A stronger case that Biden and his son were involved in influence peddling while Biden was the sitting VPOTUS?Skjellyfetti wrote:Pee on butt.
But, it doesn't matter, he won't be convicted. Impeachment will hopefully help speed subpoenas through the court and give House Committees a stronger case.

Mykola Zlochevsky, the person who owned the company Hunter Biden worked for, was under investigation. Hunter Biden was never under investigation. Ukraine officials have said that Hunter Biden did not violate any Ukrainian laws.BDKJMU wrote:Biden’s son worked for the company that was under criminal investigation.JohnStOnge wrote:

Biden as VP leaned on Ukraine to have the prosecutor fired.
The prosecutor was fired..
Yeah, nothing to see here..

This crap is nonsense. All Biden did was express the position of the United States government.
Trip, you are going to look foolish when absolutely nothing comes of this rabbit hole Dems went down. If he wants to gamble on 2020 and loses, he'll definitely be arrested (and likely convicted).

So, he was just relaying the position of the United States government. Gosh, I thought that's what ambassadors were for. But then again, ambassadors aren't paid as much as Hunter Biden was paid.JohnStOnge wrote:No. That stuff about Biden and his son is nonsense. There is no "there" there at all with that stuff. Oh, I thought that was what your personal attorney is for.CitadelGrad wrote:So, he was just relaying the position of the United States government. Gosh, I thought that's what ambassadors were for.

How much do you think Trump's personal attorney is being paid for sitting on a BoD in an industry in which he has no experience or connections?Skjellyfetti wrote:Oh, I thought that was what your personal attorney is for.CitadelGrad wrote:So, he was just relaying the position of the United States government. The guy isn’t even a whistleblower. He’s a leaker who took 2nd hand, hearsay evidence, right after the intel communities secretly eliminated the requirement that whistleblowers provide direct, first-hand knowledge of alleged wrongdoings, and if he’s not an attorney, clearly didn’t write the complaint (you can tell its written by an attorney(s). This is noting more than a political assassination attempt.css75 wrote:Trip, you are going to look foolish when absolutely nothing comes of this rabbit hole Dems went down. I think your response shows why Federal Civil service employees have to avoid any possible appearance of impropriety. But the position on the prosecutor was the position of the United States as well as of other Western Democracies. It may have been smart for the United States to have someone else say what Biden said. But it was the position of the United States.BDKJMU wrote:Your son works for a company.JohnStOnge wrote:

That company is under criminal investigation.
You take steps to have the lead prosecutor fired.
That is at best a conflict of interest, and at worst criminal.

The Steele Dossier, to this day, has not been shown to be a fraud. The idea that it has been is another manifestation of the Trump supporter bullshit echo chamber.css75 wrote:The whole process here is eerily similar to the Steele Dossier fraud.

The Steele dossier to this day hasn’t been shown to be true. I think he'll be impeached, its their duty. If enough comes out that a few Republicans go soft on him I think he'd resign in order to keep his pension and SS protection, which he's going to need when he leaves office.GannonFan wrote:I find it really hard to see the Democrats actually going through with the impeachment. There's zero chance of conviction at this point, unless something else comes out. There's not a smoking gun yet that will turn the Senate to vote to convict. The speed at which the administration is responding to things surely makes it looks like they want all of this to happen, and I don't doubt that Trump has been thinking impeachment is his best campaign tool for 2020. But for this poll, the only two viable options are impeach or nothing - I think Pelosi won't be able to hold back her herd, so I say impeach.

The political damage to the majority party might be a function of the President being a sympathetic character, which Trump is not. If the impeachment charges are frivolous in nature, then that is what will sour voters like it did with Clinton. But Trump is a frivolous President. I don’t think swing voters are going to be swayed by a frivolous impeachment if that’s how it turns out.
In fact I wonder if there is any such thing as a swing voter in the age of Trump.
Hell, maybe that’s the strategy.... fire up the base and get them all to the polls

I'm still trying to decide which is the more stupid behavior:
Shaking down a foreign leader when you know your conversation is being monitored by an agency who hates your guts with white-hot passion OR
Bringing in Rudy G as the "fixer".
