It was intentional? I honestly didn’t watch it. What were they trying to manipulate?AZGrizFan wrote:It goes waaaaay beyond "laziness". But you do you, bro.kalm wrote:
Not sure they have to. It was probably used in another ABC piece at some point or made available publicly. Laziness for sure.![]()

I don't know that they were trying to manipulate anything, but there is a danger with laziness becoming chronic laziness. From reports, they had to edit the video to take out the parts that included folks with cell phones videoing the gunfire. So someone clearly knew this was not in any way related to what they were going to eventually say it was. Even if there's no agenda, that's the kind of laziness that can't be tolerated. And since we don't live in an agenda-free world, it's even more so that this kind of stuff needs to be eliminated.kalm wrote:It was intentional? I honestly didn’t watch it. Agreed. Just clarifying it wasn’t some conspiracy like Z alluded to.GannonFan wrote:I don't know that they were trying to manipulate anything, but there is a danger with laziness becoming chronic laziness. Re: cs.com Fake News Thread
Well if it was done intentionally is sure as fuck IS. Given what they had to do to the video to make it even remotely appear to be war footage, they HAD to know it was false, yet they plowed forward. Stupidity? Or agenda? Given their track record, I know which side of that I fall on...kalm wrote:Agreed. Just clarifying it wasn’t some conspiracy like Z alluded to.GannonFan wrote:

Eh, whether you want to call it a conspiracy or not, the fundamental thing is that it is very wrong and very disturbing that a significant news outlet would intentionally put fake footage on the air and say it's something other than it is. This wasn't some internet blog, it was ABCNews. If they can't be trusted not to make stuff up who can be trusted? Inexcusable no matter what word you want to use.kalm wrote:Agreed. Re: cs.com Fake News Thread
How is something done intentionally NOT a conspiracy? They have an agenda that aligns with the Donk party. They’re manipulating news to fit that agenda. It’s the definition of a conspiracy.GannonFan wrote:Eh, whether you want to call it a conspiracy or not, the fundamental thing is that it is very wrong and very disturbing that a significant news outlet would intentionally put fake footage on the air and say it's something other than it is.
