Yup, spot on. Everywhere I've been has a policy that if you are in a relationship with a co-worker you have to report it to HR. If it ever becomes superior/subordinate situation one of the 2 is getting transferred to another department/group/team.

Agreed but as Trip points, out, there are remedies if it turns out to in fact be coerced consent. I'm not defending the wisdom of doing this and agree the hypocrisy is delicious.
