Well since the 2016 election, we've found out that Trump doesn't give one sh*t about AZ's sacred Constitution, he openly supports racists and says racist stuff on a consistent basis, he's weakened the rights of LGBTQ people in the federal government, he tears apart families and imprisons children for long periods of time (even loses them), he actively enriches himself and his family directly off US taxpayers, he's perfectly fine with our "allies" murdering US residents, and he befriends genocidal despots.

But hey, we got some tax cuts out of it. What's the soul of America for a few extra bucks?

I never worked for Reuben - only came across him a few times including when he gave a eulogy at my grandfather's funeral. I'll defer to your experience.

Donald Trump would be a very good mayor but he is not suited to national office.

Greenberg found that sweet spot and he knew it - that’s why he never sought a higher position and why he never ran for public office

Trump is very predictable to me because he has yet to do anything that isn’t exactly what Greenberg would do

I have also heard that Trump has a compassionate side but lord knows he keeps it beaten down externally if true

That reminds me of Greenberg on a couple occasions... there was a gun shop robbery and murder in West Ashley several years back ... the shop owner was killed execution-style a day or two before Christmas. I was sitting in my patrol car that evening late after coming on shift and Greenberg rolled up to me. He had been at the crime scene most of the day and he just pulled up to chat. It was obvious that he was shaken and there were tears in his eyes. He told me he had been at the scene and he asked me if I knew the gun shop owner and I told him I didn’t. He said, “What kind of animals do this? I think I understand people but then some things just don’t make sense. They didn’t have to kill that guy.”

The other time was the night Dennis LaPage was murdered. Greenberg ordered everybody to double up in the cars that night. I had my rookie in the car with me and Reuben pulled up to us by the Coburg Cow. He said, “I know all you guys can take care of yourselves .. I’m not worried about that. I just don’t want you guys to be alone, thinking about Dennis by yourselves.”
