Joe is still a sore loser over the 2001 World Series.

But he can't help it, he's a Yankee fan. If the Yankees don't win the World Series, other teams cheated. And EVERY Yankee player ever should be in the Hall of Fame.

Too many Yank fans like that, we need a return to the Horace Clark, Roy White era, trouble is, with runaway free agency, those days are gone.

We've won 27 times and not once has any Yankee undressed in public like a Chippendale's dancer.

I'm not a sore loser. I just feel sorry for you. I'm sorry that Steroid Gumpy's 100-foot blooper will forever be your team's greatest moment.

Roy White is one of the most under-rated players in baseball history. He's become a pet project of Sabermetricians. According to many ranking systems, Roy White is the best left fielder not in the Hall of Fame.

It was all about Curt Schilling. Without him, the DBacks were lost.

Yea, celebrate the steroid cheater who hit a bloop 100 feet. Without the fake muscles, that ball is a soft liner into the glove of the shortstop. The first steroid MLB championship!

After 18 years, the butthurt is still great in you.

I still see an analyst twice a week about the collapse of the ‘64 Phillies, who blew a 6.5 game lead over the Cardinals with 12 games to play. You remember the ‘64 Cardinals, don’t you? The ones that beat the Yankees in 7?

I have two words for you: Alex Rodriguez. Two more: Roger Clemens.

Do you pitch a fit like this when you lose a case?

Uh, didn't the great Mariano Rivero technically blow the save in the bottom of the 9th in Game 7 when Tony Womack doubled off of him to bring home the tying run? Are you saying Womack was on steroids as well?

And heck, if we're going to complain about steroids, why are we not talking about the five (5) Yankees on that 2001 roster that were all identified as steroids users? Still to today, the Yankees are by far the most implicated team in MLB in terms of steroids abuse, and that includes players before 2001, players in 2001, and players after that season. Just seems like your still upset that your steroids users got beat by other steroids users. :coffee:

Yea, this is just bullshit right here. There was one player on the 2001 Yankees that was alleged to have used steroids prior to 2002. All the other four used PEDS, as alleged in the Mitchell Report, starting at some point subsequent to the 2001 World Series. Read the friggin' report.

Yea, we got suckered on both of those deals. Thanks for bringing up how badly the Yankees were victimized by the steroid era.I almost forgot to mention that. But you're right. No team suffered more because of the steroid era.

Clemens went to Toronto, started taking steroids, and won back-to-back Cy Youngs. So we traded a top starter, David Wells, to get Clemens. He promptly came to New York and stunk up the joint in 1999 and 2000, because his supplier was still in Toronto. We gifted Clemens two World Series rings. Throughout his Yankee career, he was a plus 4.00 ERA, or high 3.00 ERA, pitcher who won games simply because the Yankees gave him great run support.

Arod. Big contract. Never really came through in New York. Had one decent post-season for us. Killed us year after year for the most part. Got scammed on Arod too.

I remember the 64 Phil’s, a great young team risen from the ashes. I really wanted them to win then, but their gag job was better than 62 Dodgers. Bob Gibson totally dominated the Yankees that WS

My personal favorite was 63 when Dodgers swept behind Koufax, Drysdale and Podres (again for Podres)

  I have a great dislike for both of those players, but Arod had more than “one decent post season” for the Yanks. Sure, he wasn’t Mr. Reliable like Reggie, but his ALCS career numbers with the Yanks mirror his regular season stats almost exactly. And he played in six of them for the Yanks.

I don't know what you are looking at, but the only year Arod came through in the post-season for the Yankees was 2009 -- which, ironically, was a year he was not juicing, according to allegations later made by MLB in his suspension case.

In the end, it would have far better for the Yankees if the original deal made in November 2013, with Texs sending Arod to Boston, had gone through. He would have fit in better with the steroid culture in Boston during that time.
