I don't completely agree with her but I think it's cool that there is a young person speaking up and giving a voice to a group of people that typically don't have one.

You don't have to like her but I don't think you can argue that she hasn't had an impact and influenced the discussion.

I would argue that the only thing she has brought to the discussion is more emotions and table thumping in a topic/theater that is already overfull with emotion and table thumping. She will disappear just as quickly as she came on the scene, as she is nothing more than a pawn in this game; designed to elicit a certain emotional response.

She has brought no facts, no ideas, nor contributed to a meaningful discussion other than the fact that we are "stealing/stole her future". That type of "impact" is useful in only generating news and clicks and the "influence" will only be around as long as she fills the role she is being "paid" to play. Or do people think she (or her parents) lined up all the speaking time slots or the yachting across the oceans on their own? And that the people helping her are doing it out of the goodness of their heart?

There is always an agenda and one only has to follow the money to see it.

I should of prefaced the post saying that I am a full blooded cynic when it comes to these things and whenever I see a person just "appear" on the world stage with great fan fare and am told that I should listen to their message as gospel, I tend to be more than a bit septic on what they bring to the table.
