I don't think that President Trump should be attacking others children.
I don't think anybody should expect anything less of him, its what he does.

And I doubt he's happy about finding out that Ivanka was two-timing him with Chris Steele :coffee:

I bet he noticed that it wasn't tight anymore.

I'm an older woman and if I wanted to take the time I would laugh and berate her too! And the sad reality is that she has been manipulated by other older men into believing this fraud.

She's been manipulated by science. Thankfully science is a global, peer-reviewed, multi-gender effort.

As Dan Rather said, her mission will far outshine any discredited denialism.

I’m speaking from the perspective that instead of calling the kid some nasty, be an adult and attack the policies. Not the kid.

I bet if one of your daughters were in public like this, you’d want the message to be debated and her appearance or apparent defects ignored.

But we dont live in that world.

My yet to be emancipated daughter would not be the puppet of a neo Maoist global temper tantrum movement - at least not without a little bloodshed on whatever adult was stupid enough to try to co-opt her

I have plenty of sympathy for the little sh1t. In fact her disabilities are being exploited by her handlers -

But 90% of the “attacks” on her aren’t attacks at all - it is dissent against what she is espousing being characterized as attacks. THAT is her utility to these groups- that’s why she is the face of this movement and not some Norwegian college student soyboy.

So although she is being victimized by both her handlers as well as her opponents, I completely reject any attempts to shift the argument away by making her the focus- the Climate Strike manifesto demands need to be front and center, in full daylight

Therefore my response to anybody clutching their pearls over bad things being said about Thunberg is to dismiss them with prejudice. I’m not rewarding deflection by people whose intent is to stifle dissent by using disabled teenagers.

I didn't say your daughter would be a puppet for a neo-Maoist.

I see plenty of dissent with her politics. That's fine and reasonable. I'm talking about those that are ignoring that and are attacking her based on her sex, age, disability, appearance and even nationality. As if all that crap matters. It's all deflection.

That's my position - go after the handlers and the topic. Otherwise, those attacking her for all those other things are no better than the liberals attacking Trump over his orange skin and fat ass. Or Melania's accent. Or Michelle Obama's weight.

Unfortunately, both sides of this have fucked up the results and have been alarmists. So neither side of the debate will neither listen, trust nor reason with the other side.

Yeah - I may be saying something about adults being cruel but I'm not sure I've seen anyone here "berate" Greta.

Selective use of science is another example of the hypocrisy of the left and right. The left loves science for climate change but denies it for biology and evolution. The right does the opposite.

Why does the US and west have to make the sacrifices for climate change while China, India and the third world get a pass? I've been to China, they're decimating the environment.

Is that a joke?

The American industrial age, into WWII and the boom afterwards, contributed to the most CO2 per capita ever seen in the history of the World for one nation (among large nations). The US still is still one of the worst per capita (even worse than China), but not nearly as bad as it ever was.

And what is this "back in my day" garbage anyways, as if they're not living today? Those same f*ckers ended up building large homes, buying huge cars, and built the consumer-empire we see today.

A nation as educated, resource-heavy, and wealthy as ours could've easily figured out how to advance green energy and other environmental issues a long time ago. We could have gone to Mars, advanced universal healthcare, been investing into mass-transportation. Instead, prior generations sucked corporate cocks in the hope wealth trickled back to them...everything else be damned, including the environment.
2% said the baby boom legacy would be consumerism and self-indulgence; 27% said changing values and ending a war. The rest, 32%, were closely split among those who chose "nothing at all," some other legacy or just weren't sure.

Yup. Those people had to go through a depression then a world war. 10+ years of scarcity and rationing will have a monumental impact on a population.
