It's the way these things sometimes work.

You release bit by bit. Get the administration to comment on it. Release more. Catch them in lies. Get more comments. Release enough to force an investigation. Use all their previous lies and cover-up against them.

Remember Watergate? It was drip... drip... drip for TWO YEARS. Mark Feld could have leaked all his info early on if he wanted... but, it wouldn't have had the same effect.

There's a whole lotta smoke. And no fire yet... but, the intelligence community has been leaking left and right. We'll see how it goes. :thumb:

lol, yeah, this Clinesmith guy that noone had ever heard of a few months ago.

that's pretty huge compared to Trump's campaign manager, Trump's deputy campaign manager, Trump's personal lawyer and RNC finance chair, Trump's National Security Advisor and Roger Stone getting whacked.

For Russian collusion?

What was Flynn pinched for again? I forget. Stone?

BTW - here's where the IG says the Steele dossier was the piece de la resistance of the FISA case (since you asked without first reading):

'We determined that the Crossfire Hurricane team’s receipt of Steele’s election reporting on September 19, 2016 played a central and essential role in the FBI’s and Department’s decision to seek the FISA order. '

Give it up, Reek... here's Taibbi himself talking about you as a consumer of conspiracy media:

"Not only did obtaining a FISA warrant allow authorities a window into other Trump figures with whom Page communicated, they led to a slew of leaked “bombshell” news stories that advanced many public misconceptions, including that a court had ruled there was “probable cause” that a Trump figure was an “agent of a foreign power.” There are too many to list in one column, but the Horowitz report show years of breathless headlines were wrong"

It's worse than that. I was listening to some radio today and they said Carter Page and Papadapoulus (sp?) were being spied on with human assets before they were in the Trump admin/campaign and before there were approved FISA warrants...

...Papadoup was in Ben Carson's campaign team before joining Trumps...

This raises some questions, namely what other candidates/campaigns were being spied on...

...and who has the authority to authorize such an operation.

Hhmmm. This scandal keeps getting worse and worse.

One by one, Republican senators expressed outrage Wednesday that the Federal Bureau of Investigation had committed errors in how it sought and obtained surveillance on a former Trump campaign adviser, describing the findings contained in a new inspector general report as evidence of alarming privacy violations that could be wielded against any American.

The concerns echoed those made by civil liberties advocates for decades. But they came this time from self-described national security hawks who have long voted to renew and expand U.S. surveillance powers.

Yeah...I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss the Russia allegations yet. Aside from the finances of Wilbur Ross and Eric Trump bragging about all the Russia loans to Trump org on account of how much those russkies like golf, there are now some serious dots being connected. They may amount to nothing or be lies from Parnas but we’ll see...

Meanwhile, federal prosecutors charged yesterday evening that Lev Parnas, an associate of President Trump who represented him in Ukraine, was wired $1 million from a Russian bank account weeks before his arrest. Which is to say, Trump’s Ukraine plot appears to have been financed by Russia.

Parnas met repeatedly with Trump and his lawyer, Rudy Giuliani. Parnas claims Trump pulled him aside at last year’s White House Hanukkah party and personally directed his activities in Ukraine. That allegation remains unproven. What is proven, though, is that Parnas met with Trump numerous times (there are photographs), was Giuliani’s official business partner, and represented himself to Ukrainians as an agent of both Trump and Giuliani.

Rudy has worked as Trump’s lawyer for “free,” but Parnas paid him half a million dollars for his work. If Parnas himself was being paid by Russian sources, this means the Russians were essentially subsidizing Trump, paying for the work themselves so he didn’t have to lay out a dime of his own money.

Manafort: an expensive political consultant, working as Trump's campaign manager for free while getting paid $$$ by Deripaska.

Guiliani: an expensive attorney, working pro bono for Trump while getting paid $$$ by Parnas.

I wonder why the CIA notably didn't go to bat for Carter Page, since he was working for them?

Hmm

Why could that have possibly happened

Cool story! Maybe there's something to this for sure.

And I think there's a thread for it too, but not here. So don't try to change the subject, just put it where it belongs

This thread was for the Russian election collusion extravaganza conspiracy theory. Now it is basically just a flogging post for Reeeeeek, chief conspiracy theorist

(And for me to say "told ya" in as many ways as I can possibly think of)

Glenn Greenwald getting in on the action:
JUST AS WAS TRUE when the Mueller investigation closed without a single American being charged with criminally conspiring with Russia over the 2016 election, Wednesday’s issuance of the long-waited report from the Department of Justice’s Inspector General reveals that years of major claims and narratives from the U.S. media were utter frauds.
https://theintercept.com/2019/12/12/the ... u-s-media/

Any one care to guess which cast of characters on this board fell hook line and sinker for all the conspiracy theory talk pedaled by the msm about this hoax?

Sometimes a picture doesn’t have to be worth a thousand words. Just a few will do. As Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov returned home from his visit with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office last week, Russian state media was gloating over the spectacle. TV channel Rossiya 1 aired a segment entitled “Puppet Master and ‘Agent’—How to Understand Lavrov’s Meeting With Trump.”

Looks like they feel the hysteria waning and need to agitate you some more. Mission accomplished?

In seriousness, Sergey Lavrov is now has long has been the most effective diplomat on the planet

He plays U.S. Presidents like fiddles regularly. You should search my posts for the name “Lavrov”
