Well, having spent a little time in SD last year, it would have to be in some pocket of the state that is not in the vast expanse of prairie grassland. Good lord was 3/4 of that state ever boring as all hell. Makes Iowa seem like the rainforest in comparison. The most interesting part of SD is obviously the southwest quadrant, but Uncle Sam and Injuns obviously own a lot of that. I'm sure there are other cool pockets, which I'd need to research. There are supposedly some cool communities along the Missouri River.

Wherever I end up, it has to be distinctly different than Slower Delaware (that's current Slower Delaware, not the one I grew up in). Can't be table flat. Can't have a bunch of people from NY/NJ/PA/DC/MD/VA fucking it all up. Can't be 90F, humid as balls, and mosquito/green fly-ridden from May through September.

Basically, I want to get the fuck away from people. I hate people.
Please don't come to Maine. We have enough of you Mid-Atlantic fuckers already.

He's the internet porn of Presidents. Because, ya know, nobody looks at internet porn either.
I've been very transparent about who I voted for. :grizo1:
Same here, but in blue Washington a vote for him would not have mattered.

I will vote for him in 2020 in the hopes he takes the popular vote as well.

How much land are you looking at?
Enough to shoot rifles out to 2000 yards or so. Always dreamed of having my own range.
That shouldn't be a problem. :thumb:

Depending on ones neighbors, you might not have to own that entire bit of land. I know of a few guys that went together on building a long range gun range as getting 1.5 miles of straight access can be difficult in some areas. As long as one is a conscience shooter and not going to shoot at cattle, some ranchers might let you build one on their pasture land, provided a deal can be worked out.

Based on your earlier post, the Missouri bottoms will probably be your best bet outside of the Black Hills area. Just something to consider is that ND might be switching their income/property tax to be more like SD here in the future. The legislature has been talking about it for several years now but currently nothing has been introduced yet.

True. Just hop across the border of SW VA into no income tax eastern TN. Not hot as balls, or very humid, because of the mtns..

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

It's nice in the summer. All six weeks of it.

I like New Hampshire quite a bit better. White Mountains are pretty damn picturesque. Plus their laws are a lot better, and they have the best state slogan ever.

South of Concord is shitsville......but their 10 miles of coastline is to die for!!!

:coffee:
The ocean water is too damn cold in both states, even in summer!

I'm mostly giving you a hard time about Maine. It's a fun place to visit in summer; nice escape from the humidity, bugs, and summer tourists here. I've been to Acadia/Bar Harbor twice, 30 years apart. Enjoyed it a bunch both times. Also spent a fair amount of time on the southern coast between Kennebunkport and Kittery. We even swung through Bangor and Orono when we last visited in 2015.

And yeah, south of Concord NH is called Boston. F Boston.

Pro tip: many locals take their vacation after Aug. 15 when the black flies and tourists are mostly gone.

I'd say the odds are 50:50. So you have a good chance of being able to claim you called it correctly regardless of which way you go.

The situation remains the same. Trump won under a unique set of circumstances. His opponent had been under FBI investigation through much of the campaign. Then Comey dropped his bomb shortly before the election. Meanwhile, there was division on the Democrat side due to Sanders fans thinking he got screwed. And the Russians exacerbated that problem with the e mails hack. The situation in the swing states was much more a matter of less support for the Democrat candidate than it was the Republican gaining support. The most extreme example of that was Trump winning Florida in spite of getting a lower percentage of the vote in that State than Romney got in 2012. He also won Wisconsin in spite of getting fewer votes in that State than Romney got (the percent he got was higher but that's because overall turnout was down). He won Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin without getting majorities of the vote in any of those States. Black turnout was down.

If the Democrats develop enthusiasm among the people that normally vote for them they will win. If they don't, they won't.

The bad news is that I'm seeing indications that Sanders wants to do the same kind of disrupt the apple cart crap he did last time.

Several months ago, I was thinking there was no way the Democrats could lose to Trump in 2020. Then they opened their mouths.

I think turnout is going to be incredible. Most think that will benefit Democrats, but I disagree. There is an army of Republican voters who didn't vote for Trump in 2016 who I think will turn out. If they do it in PA, MI, and WI, game over for the Democrats again.

Trump has done a terrific job of nailing several of his promises, and in particular, the ripping up of NAFTA and making China blink in the tariff war plays really well in the Rust Belt.

Wrong. Sanders was the apple cart and the DNC did the upsetting and fucked themselves in the general election when they ratfucked Bernie in the primary - the ne plus ultra of "hoist by their own petard" in the history of American politics. If they pull the same shit with superdelegates this time the Sanders people stay home again. He's drawing bigger crowds than anyone in the field and raising more money too and he's doing under a near-total media blackout.

Small caveat: black people and women vote selectively

Where I live is about 1/3 black folks. The lines were 1/3 black at the polling place in 2008, and almost as much in 2012. Other years, not so much.

Where I live is 1/2 women. It was 1/2 women at the polling place in 2016 and 2018. Other years, not so much.

You are correct though. Old white fuckers are there for every vote.
