Guess that depends if you actually believe his remorse. Personally, I don't think there's a remorseful bone in his (or Hildabeast's) body.

I agree with this. With the Epstein ties and practically everything Hillary does politically...these are not good people. I think they may be on a Trump level.

To the greater point...most people don’t publicly own their shit until they’re forced to. Why should we expect more from politicians?

Yep, especially considering that, for the most part, they're bigger POS's than the general population.

I don't disagree with that, but it was the utter defiance he showed after getting caught that led me to my feelings on this particular case. I will never forget...

That one clip automatically forfeits his "manning up" card in my book. To be fair, Raul may have been too young to really remember that as it happened.

Yes. Hence my "We can debate his sincerity." comment.

I'm playing devil's advocate here otherwise this place is a circle jerk.

I don't think someone with Clinton's history of assault is sorry. Just sorry he got caught.

The populace at large has tuned this thing out. I don't think this vote will have much say in whether or not a vulnerable conk keeps their seat. A vulnerable conk could vote for removal and still likely lose their seat anyways.

Extremists.

Look at the other side of the pond. Sanders would be to the center, maybe even center-right.

This country is pathetically far behind our western counterparts. Cons have tilted the field so right that we think sensible items like universal healthcare and environmental protections are extreme positions.

I want someone even more progressive than Sanders, but baby steps.

Look to the other side of the pond? You mean like France? England? Spain, Italy, Greece, etc.? Yeah, let's be more like THEM.

rampant unemployment
rampant illegal immigration
rampant terrorism/attacks/bombings
rights stripped away or never recognized
police states where police routine walk around with automatic weapons
rampant poverty

Looks like a real paradise over there.

Trip, we're not "behind" those countries because the truth is we HAVE no "counterparts". America stands alone. Despite your hatred for our country and our system, there's a reason we're the richest, most powerful nation on earth and the one country EVERY country's people flock to.

So basically what those maps show is that the more conservative a nation is, the more poverty exists.

I wonder if that lines up with American states...

We're more Western than our Western allies. Go anymore West and you end with the Commies in China...

What a minute. Libs have been saying we need be more like those countries, especially the Nordic ones. Now, they're suddenly "Conservative"?

Yes you are. Look at the most at risk nations in that map...the Baltics, Eastern Europe, the Balkans, and two of the most conservative nations in Europe: Spain and Italy. The UK takes a turn right, and they're in the red too.

The Nordic nations are not conservative.

What they show is that virually all of Europe has a higher poverty rate than the US.
