So was the 400 point gain today the part of the head and shoulders pattern where the scary ghost waves at you?

No. It was short sellers covering.

Basically, the error people make is thinking the market is rational. It's not. It overreacted to the S&P downgrade on Monday and it can't make up its mind what it has wanted to do since.

The market didn't tank on Monday because of a head and shoulders pattern... it's just traders reacting on emotion, fear, etc.

The S&P 500 is still overvalued.

That is pretty damn close to the average P/E ratio.

You wouldn't think so if you had rudimentary math skills.

I wasn't completely wrong. I wrote that on June 16th. APPL closed at 267.

I actually waited until August and bought in at $245.

Sold before I bought my house at $608. :thumb:

Forgive me, houndawg. It often takes me a full year (if ever) to get around to reading your totally ignorable posts. :coffee:

you can't ignore them no matter how you try. The pull is so strong that even a year later you're compelled to ejaculate some feeble halfwiticism.

Thanks bro. :coffee:

Ummmm
"Arthur Burns on Line 2 ..."

So.
Since last September the Fed has pumped $70B/month in Treasuries into the Banksters' pockets booking their 'organic asset purchase program' (Is it too harsh to say, "Maiden Lane-ing" ?)

All in a convoluted attempt to reconcile over-night accounts that would not close at central bank rates?
Ummmm ... Really.

Have I missed something?

Remember when Republicans were dead set against the rate cuts of Janet Yellen under Obama? Now President Trump is screaming for them on almost a daily basis. In fact they are talking about another one by the end of the week. The political gymnastics are quite delicious. :notworthy:
