Texas could either way. That is the key. Biden has to win Texas.
Very solid analysis. Texas (and Cali) are the big fish. I think Biden wins Texas and hopes to have such a close victory(loss) in Cali that the delegate split doesn't sting too badly. Netting 30-40 less delegates than Sanders in Cali would be a win. :twocents:

Bernie has Maine wrapped up. I'd vote for Buttigieg, but I'm all about protest votes.

These are my picks except Massaxchusetts, I think Warren wins at home. Utah is a dark horse.
Nah, Warren's going to get demolished in her own state. And actually, I should've put Utah in there, I think Sanders wins in a walk in Utah.

Really, the two biggest questions are what happens in Minnesota now that Klobuchar is out of the race and backing Biden since it was neck and neck there with her and Sanders, and what happens in Texas, because that's a toss-up state as well. The other thing of note would be if Sanders is able to steal any of those Southern states - I don't think Biden can steal anything from Bernie but Bernie has a few he could surprise in - if Bernie takes Virginia or Arkansas then this thing will be over by tomorrow. Biden needs those states to have a chance at a contested convention, which is Biden's only path to the nomination now.
I think Citizen's United says Bloomberg is in the catbird seat.

I went with Cali, Vermont, Maine, Colorado, Mass, and Utah. Probably won't get Utah, but I was on a roll so I figured why the hell not.
I didn't pull the trigger either but it won't surprise me if he does. I think Warren wins at home and Bernie takes Texas - I just don't see trump getting enough of Team Brown's vote there.
Aren't we talking DNC primary here?

Remember, Biden just needs to break the 15% threshold in CA and that's a "win" for him as that would mean he gets some delegates. Biden's goal is to prevent Bernie from getting a majority of the delegates so the super delegates can give him the nomination at the convention. The "he needs to win the state" is the wrong mentality.

Conversely isn't that true in any of the states Biden wins?

Yes but the onus is on Bernie to win the nomination outright via getting the majority of the delegates. The pressure is on him to keep this thing "rigged" proof.

How is he going to make the electronic voting machines rigged-proof?

Because it's not the boogeyman the left thinks it is. Otherwise we'd have things like President Tom Steyer, Senator Bruce Braley, etc. Money helps but if you're an obnoxious dickwad all the money in the world can't help you overcome that.

Biden by 33 delegates after today
(before the Dims play the Super-Delegate Card and the Bernie Bros whine and complain)

I think Sanders will under-perform in Texas and California -- effectively becoming a delegate wash (650 Delegates)
Sanders 33%
Biden 32%
Bloomberg 20%
Warren 14%

I think Biden over-performs in NC, Va and Mass. Whoever did that Sanders Ad in NC pandering to Blacks should be flogged -- ("Weed-smoking felons who need their records expunged" ?? Jeeez ...) That was even offensive to me, and I'm a dopey white guy.
(300 delegates)
Biden 45%
Sanders 25%
Bloom-Warren 30%
(Upset Alert --Biden wins Mass!)

Biden eats dirt in Minn and Col (must be those weed-smoking Paul Wellstone progressives) but over-performs in Ala-BAM and Ten'see. Really close to a wash (250 delegates)
Sanders 33%
Biden 33%
Bloomberg 17%
Warren 16%

Sanders over-performs in Vermont and Maine (40 delegates) but gives it back to Biden in OK and Ark (65 delegates) which creates a wash in Utah (30 delegates) when Sanders under-performs.
