Isn't that hit like $75K and a personal foul93henfan wrote:So close!93henfan wrote:

Couldn't be more content with how the team battled with the ridiculous amount of injuries all season and in this game.
We actually had Seattle's sphincters tightening a little with under five minutes left with Josh McCown at QB, no starting WRs, backups on the right side of the OL, a TE with a lacerated kidney and a cracked rib, a RB named Boston Scott, and nobody who can play CB at a professional level.
Simply amazing.

Agreed. It was tough not rooting for McKown.93henfan wrote:Couldn't be more content with how the team battled with the ridiculous amount of injuries all season and in this game.

Wentz stats in the playoffs for his first four Seasons: 1/4 for three yards. Awesome.

That’s one more completion and three more yards than your boy Prescott had this year, Clappy.Vidav wrote:Wentz stats in the playoffs for his first four Seasons: 1/4 for three yards. Awesome.

True but they've still got him next year at an absolute steal...Vidav wrote:Sorry if I wasn't clear. I was talking about stats for the first four years in the playoffs.Ivytalk wrote:

He's only $18 mil against the cap next season

To put that in perspective
Jarred Goff cap hit next season is $36 Mil

and for the Broncos to release Joe Flacco will be $23 Mil

Re: 2019 Philadelphia Eagles Thread
Yeah, it's hard to have a worse kinda hit than what Clowney did. QB was already on the ground, Clowney leads with the head (note his arms were never up, he went into straight launch mode) and made contact directly to the back of the QB's helmet and drove the head into the ground. That's a big fine hit. Obviously should've been a penalty but really, with that damage done does it matter if the Eagles got 15 yards or not?Chizzang wrote:Isn't that hit like $75K and a personal foul93henfan wrote:

Gotta hand it to NBC, they barely talked about the hit, and then after the game they had the gall to interview Clowney and congratulate him on battling through his own injuries during the game. Classy, NBC, classy.

Goodell was in the building and got to watch the replay and listen to Eagles fans' reaction simultaneously, many times in a row. I'd expect a steep penalty this week on Clowney, but I also know Goodell has no balls whatsoever, so who knows?
He may care more about protecting his refs than the health of the league's QBs. He's real hypocritical like that. Look how he ran interference so many times for the Cheatriots.

Probably wouldn't have made a difference, but Pederson fucked up by not kicking the FG with just over 9 minutes to go. They weren't making that first down. Forced their hand to keep going for TD's.

Re: 2019 Philadelphia Eagles Thread
I agree totally. Puts you in position for a game-winning TD later, not a TD that gets you within two and you have to pray for a conversion to tie.89Hen wrote:Probably wouldn't have made a difference, but Pederson fucked up by not kicking the FG with just over 9 minutes to go. I like Dougie's risk taking most of the time, but that was a bad risk.

Yup, I agree. Even my 16 year old kid was saying to kick the FG and then brought it up later saying they should've kicked the first field goal and could be driving to win and not tie.93henfan wrote:I agree totally. I met this dude yesterday helping to load the truck for the HS indoor percussion competition yesterday. He is the Samoan/Australian rugby player the Eagles drafted in the late rounds a couple of years ago. He's current hanging out on the practice squad. Dude's enormous, but very personable. His cousin is in the band with my kid.

That is about the best shaped 346 pounds as there could be. Especially at only 6'4" tall.

He's listed at 6'8" and he's every bit tall. The guy is all muscle. Intimidating as hell to stand next to.CAA Flagship wrote:That is about the best shaped 346 pounds as there could be. Especially at only 6'4" tall.
