I've bought the complete Ayn Rand library for emergency TP.
Ok I guess

The toilet paper derby seems to transcend political affiliation

which only reinforces my belief that we as Americans are stupid cunts and should probably all die

(and be eaten by wild dogs)

We've got a case of some Kirkland brand TP that is so thin, the roll never seems to get any smaller. Been holding onto it for a couple years as backup.
Speaking of Kirkland. How is it over there?
Seems totally normal to me, although less people everywhere. Haven't seen nor heard of any crazy stuff and I'm on the local community FB page, where ridiculous shit is posted daily.

That’s really good news. I just read a social media post making it sound like Armageddon. Remain skeptical...and kalm.

Doing some self-analysis, the absolute most disease-prone part of my day (now that I'm 100% telework and not taking the DC metro or commuter bus) is my coffee stop at Wawa. So many common surfaces potentially touched: door handle, lever on the coffee dispenser, half and half jug, coffee cup lids, stir sticks, the checkout counter.

So call me a fag, but I put my box of nitrile gloves on my car seat, don gloves on the way in, and throw them in the trash can outside when I'm done.

Sounds like overkill. Walmart shoppers tend to have incredible hygiene and fitness levels.

Damn, ESPN is going to have to change their name to The Classic Sports Rerun Network. This is brutal!

They should go 100% female curling and beach volleyball. Gotta keep the ratings.

When the gymnasiums start filling up with patients on cots, they should have a camera set up and team up with a gambling platform to pick who dies or recovers next. Kinda like the game Battleship.

Same here. I don't get it.

Oh and I don't care, stocked up on canned goods and typical non-perishables (TP, paper towels, etc) on Super Bowl weekend. I thank the conspiracy theorists on Youtube I watch for the heads up.

It's a positive feedback loop. People see pictures of people on social media with shopping carts full of it, so they go out and get it because they don't want to be able to not find it when they need it, which causes more headlines and social media stuff about TP shortages, repeat cycle.

That's the bad part about science, modern medicine, and nuclear weapons. They prevent good cullings.

The travel ban itself is a dumb idea, especially if you're going to simply exempt the UK. The virus is already here, spreading. The response we need is here in the United States, not travel bans that are a month behind.

That speech was a weak response, at best.

If anything, Europe should ban us for traveling there.
Reports now say that Europe is the epicenter of new cases. :coffee:
