I think there might be an announcement this week that the US is completely shut down (similar to MD, DE).

Probably starting next Monday.

Most likely. This administration is a week behind the rest of the country.

My sister came up from RB to have lunch with me and my parents. She's really worried, as her two sources of income are being a chef and a gigging musician at the beach. The coming restrictions, likely to be announced at Gov Carney's virtual town hall at 6:30pm tonight, will effectively put her out of work.

If it comes down to it, watch Trump announce it late in the week in a confusing manner which plunges everything into chaos.

Been hearing from fire fighters and police, that the government is not telling us how bad it's going to get. Don't want panic any worse than it is.

When the admin announced filtering people through specific airports, neither the airports, FAA, or State Department knew.

The National Security Council is saying there's no impending lock down.

That probably means there's an impending lock down.

There shouldn't be a lock down so once again Trump is doing the rational thing.

For full disclosure, I bought a bag of potatoes yesterday, but that's because I like potatoes and almost always have them on hand. My store was very odd...

Sold Out
Bread (mass produced)
Paper goods
Spaghetti type pasta
Butter
Yeast

Plenty of stock
Bread (store baked)
Milk
Eggs
Meat
Lasagna noodles and Rigatoni

We went grocery shopping yesterday. Eggs were just about all gone. There wasn't any water ( I have a filter so who cares?), toilet paper, very low on tissues, very low on spagetti and pasta sauce, plenty of milk.

I wasn't worried about the bread. As long as I have flour, salt, yeast and water I can bake a loaf. :thumb:

Nothing for health care, unlimited cash for Wall Street...

$1.5 trillion is more than the entire U.S. discretionary budget that Congress allocates every year....
$1.5 trillion is far more than enough to cover the cost difference between Medicare for All and our current privatized health insurance system.

Other than bread and TP and sanitizer, the Asian grocery store (H-Mart) near me was fully stocked last night.

I couldn't listen to all of Hogan's presser, but definitely restaurants and bars, gyms, theaters... grocery and gas will stay open.
From what Hogan said
shutdown of all bars, restaurants, movie theaters and gyms in Maryland, effective at 5 p.m.,

The order limiting gatherings to 50 people applies to social, community, religious and recreational or sports activities.

Sunday, Hogan also ordered the shutdown of the state’s casinos, racetracks and off-track betting parlors
Hogan’s order would allow drive-thru, carryout and food delivery service to continue.

Grocery stores, banks, pharmacies, gas stations and other essential services would remain open.
https://www.baltimoresun.com/coronaviru ... story.html

Sounds typical of what a lot of states are doing. So far PA gov has ordered similar for the 4 surburban Philly counties, but not the whole state.
Wonder about sporting goods stores. Guns and ammo are essential, as are outdoor gear if the shit really hits the fan. Also example Cabelas & Bass Pro do sell food, including bulk.
Proud deplorable Ultra MAGA fascist NAZI trash clinging to my guns and religion (and whatever else I’ve been labeled by Obama/Clinton/Biden/Harris).

You’re not realizing that hidden within the bill is emergency federal authority to limit rights so that EPA can take over and force us all to become Democratic Socialists.

If you don't already have all of that and TSHTF, you're fucked.

The "crazy prepper gun nut guy" doesn't look so crazy when the pandemic gets bad.

It's already that bad now. Presently, only the CDC is testing for C-19, and they are only running a fixed number of tests per day. They were scheduled to increase testing by 3X to 4X today (GA is going from 50 a day to 200 a day). Expect the numbers to spike really soon, maybe tomorrow.
