You do realize that Germany is testing, on a per capita basis, more than double what the USA has done? Less than half per capita of what Italy has done. More than a third less than Switzerland.

As far as Russia, they are like China and Iran, the numbers are low (even then, Russia's per capita isn't far behind the US, of reported tests.
I'd have to look it up, but just a few weeks ago the concern was testing here in the US. That clearly isn't the issue now, plus the US is bigger than both those countries (roughly 5.5x bigger than Italy, 4x than Germany). CA is pretty much only testing if you have symptoms, not sure how many states are doing similar testing strategies but that is also impacting the per capita numbers.

Agree with you about the Russia number, but noticed they shot up there quick when they were reporting almost nothing just few weeks ago.
Testing is still an issue in many states, like Arizona where only bad cases can get tested still.

Testing in Minnesota is not an issue, it's just not being done, unless you are hospitalized.

Do you want them to perform a full autopsy on every single death to make sure? Probably should make sure they have even more PPE so they can worry bout the dead folks.

But, at least you aren't still arguing that it's not exponential growth. Just #FakeNumbers
There also hundreds, if not thousands of deaths that are caused by Covid-19 that aren't in the official numbers because the person was never tested.
Yep! And going back several months. Had a 48 year old acquaintance get strep from his wife and daughter in January. Felt symptoms on a Monday, hospitalized on Wednesday, organ failure by Friday, dead by the next Monday.

He’s The go to for people still in the denial and anger stages. Typically conservatives who think they understand the data and actions needed better than teams of experts who are responsible for saving lives and minimizing spread on a local, state, and national level.

:coffee:
Well it’s become painfully obvious that the “experts” don’t understand the data. That much has been made very, very clear.
Do you want Georgia’s “experts” or Washington’s experts right now? Go back and read my earlier post on Berenson. Let me know if you need further help understanding it. :thumb:

If I recall correctly, according to Dr Birx and the admiral on yesterday evening press conference, 18k of those Abbot quick test machines were sent out last week, and apparently another 12k going out this week. That's about 1 for ever 10k residents. And each of those can do numerous tests in a day. Supposedly they're going to be doing 150k a day..And that's on top of the 100k+ they were up to a day when the Abbot machines started to be sent out. Covidtracking.com/data shows almost 1.8 million tests performed (and not all have been reported). I get a backlog in getting the results (for the non quick test), but surprised getting a test could still be an issue.

It's highly likely that COVID-19 was a major contributor to anyone with compromised immune systems. It's not easy to live with these compromises when you lungs are filling with fluid, and your heart has trouble getting Oxygen, and your tongue cleaveth to your jaws, and thou has brought me into the dust of death.

Didn't sound like they were skewing anything. This makes perfect sense.

Should “COVID-19” be reported on the death certificate only with a confirmed test?
COVID-19 should be reported on the death certificate for all decedents where the disease caused or is
assumed to have caused or contributed to death. Certifiers should include as much detail as possible based
on their knowledge of the case, medical records, laboratory testing, etc. If the decedent had other chronic
conditions such as COPD or asthma that may have also contributed, these conditions can be reported in Part
II. (See attached Guidance for Certifying COVID-19 Deaths)

Right. It would skew numbers the other direction if the person would have survived for years with the underlying condition.

Washington’s death total projections by July have been cut in half down to 902. The peak date has moved up from April 24th, to the 11th, to April 2nd. Thank you Governor Inslee and the the UW IHME team!

Yup - I have survived 57 years with severe respitatory issues. If I got the virus, it could easily be fatal. But Z and KKK will just dismiss it as a "fake CoronaVirus" death.
