Son of a bitch!

Golf in Spokane ain’t like Chicago, ya newb. I have people bitching over $24 senior rates. It’s a jeans and t-shirt, Miller Lite affair. The surrounding development consists of military, teachers, and dry wallers.

If the course goes under it will become a 800 unit mixed residential development that destroys habitat and will use 3 times the water.

I am the Lorax, I speak for the.....turf grass?

What kind of grass? Is it native? :D

We've had this conversation. We agree that golf should be more accessible so I will concede that public golf courses might be acceptable. It's the private ones with socioeconomic barriers to entry that are really wastelands. :kisswink:
Kentucky Blue is non-native but if you throw in all the rye, poa annua, featherbed-bent, and native grass areas on the property its more native than non.

As for private clubs, I think people should be able to do what they like with their private property as long as it doesn’t limit the rights of others.

I’m libertarian like that.

:kisswink:

What about expensive restaurants? Should they be turned into fast food joints?

And the answer is no. Expensive restaurants don't take up acres of land that could be put to better and more accessible use like hiking, frisbee golf and freeze tag. The proletarian is also able to make a reservation and take his or her girlfriend on a dinner date at the expensive restaurant.

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

Why would they use that as an example? Perhaps it fits the definition most closely.
It's an example of the first definition. There are two other definitions.

The first definition is also probably a pre-Industrial Revolution definition when anything that wasn't cultivated was considered barren. Congratulations on being pre-Industrial!

I posted all three of the definitions rather than leaving out one that didn't support my opinion. You would have justifiably skewered me if I had left it out. And my ass is just a little slow, it is not dumb. :kisswink:

Is a prairie style course a wasteland? They look kind of like 89's picture of New Mexico?
