In addition to running 20 red lights in his honor say your prayers for John Prine, who died this week from The Bug.
And, slap a flag decal on your window shield ... but not too many.

I was always a big fan - saw him at PB Scott's. He was engaging and a 'hoot' (that image, I think, was a head shot from the late 70's). A few years later at G-Boro's Aycock Auditorium he fell off his stool before his first song and was helped off the stage (he 'canceled')
Hand me down my walking cane
It's a sin to tell a lie
Send my mouth way down south
And kiss my ass goodbye . . .

Tough call on which is worse. How about assholes who consistently feel the need to judge others?89Hen wrote: ↑Fri Apr 10, 2020 12:45 pm I can't decide which are worse. The Red Sox fans that came out of the cupboard in 2004, the Cubs fans that came out of the cupboard in 2016, or the John Prine "fans" that came out this week.
He's talented, I get it. But folks who I've known for 30+ years are just now telling me they've been John Prine fans their whole life?![]()

Could be. But remember when you're pointing one finger, there's three fingers pointed back at you. Sounds like a John Prine lyric.AshevilleApp wrote: ↑Fri Apr 10, 2020 12:55 pmTough call on which is worse. I didn't know Clyde's was PB's, I started at App in '81. I ate many a garbage burger there though. Holley's was a regular stop as well and I fuzzily remember the Library Club. Maybe just from visiting prior to attending. No recollection of the Grubstake. If you got into Boone regularly, I worked at Sollecito's for about a decade while sometimes going to school. I may try and hit the PB's reunion this year. I think they have the Spongetones and Brice Street lined up. Fits well with both my Greensboro and Boone days.Aho Old Guy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 11, 2020 8:28 amI'm a fugitive from justice in Buncombe County ... but hit Bele Chere many timesAshevilleApp wrote: ↑Fri Apr 10, 2020 12:26 pm

I was born in HP but 'summered' in B-Rock before moving to Watagua. Bar-tended at Holley's (for David Cox!) at Appalachian, drank at Clyde's...the Grubstake...the Library Club, and upon advice of my attorney choose not to answer any other questions

Not sure if you remember, but Clyde's was the original PB Scott's![]()

Nah but he did post on AGS that he got married.
I replied that his wife must like to travel and needed someone to carry her luggage
Is she a black gal? That would be high comedy
For sure she can’t be Jewish
