4/6 - 1259 deaths
4/7 - 1973
4/8 - 1943
4/9 - 1901
4/10 - 2035
4/11 - 1830
4/12 - 1528
4/13 - 1535

So much for being over the hump, 2500+ deaths yesterday. What's an acceptable number of death per day that the economy saviors need to take away shelter in home?
yeah, because a couple states went and backdated deaths to MARCH 11th as "probable" COVID deaths....gotta get those numbers pumped up!

This whole thing has become a giant "follow the money" exercise....

Are you talking about all of the lives saved by less auto accidents, murders, school shootings, etc?

:coffee:
Using that logic, perhaps we should just lock down the country permanently? :suspicious: :suspicious:

Just found out that the nursing home in my small town just got wiped out. Nine dead so far.
MILFORD, Del.- The healthcare provider operating a long-term care facility in Milford said on Tuesday several residents of the building have died in connection to COVID-19, a development that comes as state health officials craft new guidance and requirements aimed at reducing the spread of coronavirus at facilities like nursing homes.

Dr. Richard Feifer, the chief medical officer for Genesis HealthCare, said in a statement that a total of 52 residents and 13 staff members at the Milford Center have tested positive or are presumed positive for COVID-19.

Nope.

Unfortunately, I didn't realize that the bank account the IRS has for me has been closed. I didn't catch it until after I filed my taxes. I ended up getting a check from the bank saying the amount was deposited into a closed account. Though...i'm not sure why they wouldn't have called and asked if I wanted to transfer it to another account.

No. He's only filed the last couple years and he always got a refund check (paper).

I'm not surprised Big Brother has that info.

If he's the Jr to your Sr, maybe it got messed up. My brother and dad had each others loans and credit cards on each others credit reports.

What would an acceptable deaths per day range be, for the government to open the country back up. It appeared we had reached a peak, and then a new daily high yesterday of 2500+ deaths in 1 day.
I don't know. How many lives are you willing to lose to suicide, overdose, malnutrition, economic ruin, etc.?

At some point, lives lost to those and similar causes will outnumber the lives saved by shelter-in-place. I'm an advocate for including those lives in the models rather than sticking my head in the sand and pretending it won't happen and that every life saved from the coronavirus is a net +1 because it should be obvious to anyone with a functioning brainstem that it isn't.

And Jelly, I don't have a lot of faith in Trump or his experts handling those calculations properly so I'm betting on the better governors to lead the way on this.
