Re: Your Favorite Dark Horse?
Although people think as a whole the Gateway is the strongest conference in the FCS Ranks; I don't think enough people believe the teams in it are capable of winning a National Title; which I think is crazy!!!!
Northern Iowa and Youngstown State are two teams with a great shot at winning it all!!!

With Glanville at Portland State, I think that they could be the surprise........

If the Griz don't win it, I'd love to see Cal Poly or NDSU win it.. even though NDSU isn't quite eligible yet.
Re: Your Favorite Dark Horse?
I haven't followed the Glanville hiring very closely, will PSU be using the Run n' Shoot offense?WYOBISONMAN wrote:With Glanville at Portland State, I think that they could be the surprise........

Re: Your Favorite Dark Horse?
I wish Weber State played Portland State at Ogden this year. If they did, I would drive over for the game. They do play at Idaho State this year, but it is the same date the Bison play the Minnesota Gophers......so I will be watching that one in Minneapolis.

I guess I can't really say about a true dark horse because I don't think there will be one. Even still, I'm going with UNH pulling the "upset" over Montana in the finals! Santos pulls a "Vince Young" against a superior team.

I had to pick them because, no pun intended, Jerry Kill would kill me if I didn't pick them.skinny_uncle wrote:I had the same thought.Tom McNally wrote:SIU

You've gotta love a football team with a coach named Kill.Tom McNally wrote:I had to pick them because, no pun intended, Jerry Kill would kill me if I didn't pick them.skinny_uncle wrote: I had the same thought.

Just joshin'. I don't know who my "favorite dark horse" is. I haven't really given it any thought.
I will update y'all ASAP.

The University of Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens will shock everyone and take the 2007 title.
UD will win their conference, get a seed, and home field will take them up to the semis. At App State, the Mountaineer fans will see their team fall under a barrage of Flacco bullets and Cuff rumbles as UD "Talleys" the sacks and big hits. Montana will whither and fall in the championship as they resign themselves to an 0-2 record against the Hens.

Along with Montana State......Too many people are over looking the Cats and they always thrive under the radar.

My picks are PSU and Hofstra.
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
