Why work or do anything? Simple to just sit at home, be given enough money to live on, and go on that way for as long as possible. I'm sure there's no downside to that and the money can keep coming forever.
The useful tool that is American Jesus..?
Bet she fucks like a bunny.
what indication do you have that the money couldn't "come forever" ?
Someone eventually has to do something. Whether it's the person farming the food, or the person designing a new medicine, or the person putting together the parts to make a TV or phone or anything, that involves someone doing something other than just collecting money. In order to want to do that work, they want to be rewarded for doing those things. What incentive do they have to do that work? In a world where money is just given to everyone in equal measure, what is their motivation to do that work? What's their motivation for them to improve how that work is done? What's their motivation to do anything? You answer me that and how that would be sustainable over years/decades/a very long time and I'll go with it. Show me that math.
‘Growth is perpetual’ or something like that...

It can be, but like inertia, it needs some outside force to act upon it to make it go. An object at rest stays at rest. Same goes for an economy.
You disagree?kalm wrote:Sweet Jeebus!GannonFan wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2020 7:37 am Someone eventually has to do something. I also bet she would have a wonderfully insane answer for the question " Have you ever had consensual sex?"

So if I'm reading your answer correctly - somewhere ^ in there
You're saying that "the workers among workers" have to work in order for the perpetual profit machine to create billionaires?
Thank you
and when the creation machine gets exposed
motivation stumbles as the curtain gets pulled back
