I don't think anyone is claiming open back up without protocols in place. At least I certainly ain't. When I say "time to open back up", I'm assuming common sense protocols (specifically masks and social distancing) are being implemented with that reopening.

And, you agree that events with large crowds cannot socially distance and should not be allowed for now?

And, some businesses that cannot socially distance - like barbers, massage parlors, or tattoo parlors should not be opening back up yet?

What is even more clear is that the US has 4% of the world's population and 25% of the world's deaths from this virus. Our healthcare system has been exposed for the ripoff it is.

I'll come back out when there is a readily available test or the hospitals start allowing visitors. It would be courteous of the non-believers to wear something like a red hat to identify themselves as social distance sceptics.

I think these places can develop plans to open in some form (reduced capacity, etc). How everyone thinks rubbing elbows with the unwashed masses at large box stores like Walmart, Target, and Costco is just fine I don't see why any other place is "less safe".

Yup, 300M tests and results a day (so 3.6 trillion per year) and we're right back in this thing. And of course the 100% compliance of all folks who test positive to submit to contact tracing and agree to self quarantine for 14 days (or more, we're still working that out) and to have all of their contacts who are notified via contact tracing to also 100% comply with the min 2 weeks quarantine. Sounds all realistic and achievable.

Precisely. One of the main (if not THE main) reasons its such a feared virus is the supposed death rate. If cases are vastly undercounted (which it’s becoming more and more clear is the case) then the death rate is being vastly OVER stated.
