It's a comeback to you all that keep saying I want a total lockdown. Never said I wanted a total lock down until the virus was done.
Sure you are. In fact, anyone advocating to stay locked down is essentially arguing to stay locked down until there are treatments/vaccine because literally nothing changes no matter the lock down duration until those two things are developed.

What is even more clear is that the US has 4% of the world's population and 25% of the world's deaths from this virus. Our healthcare system has been exposed for the ripoff it is. :coffee:

I would rather test the cookies for poison and them pass them out. Each situation has a solution. I'm all for opening America up cautiously, all I hear from You and BDK and SD let her rip, pull the stitches out and open wild west style. This will end up with more government intervention.
I don't think anyone is claiming open back up without protocols in place. At least I certainly ain't. When I say "time to open back up", I'm assuming common sense protocols (specifically masks and social distancing) are being implemented with that reopening. :coffee:
I'll come back out when there is a readily available test or the hospitals start allowing visitors. It would be courteous of the non-believers to wear something like a red hat to identify themselves as social distance sceptics.

I think these places can develop plans to open in some form (reduced capacity, etc). How everyone thinks rubbing elbows with the unwashed masses at large box stores like Walmart, Target, and Costco is just fine I don't see why any other place is "less safe". :coffee:

Again, just a common sense approach here. Nothing earth shattering.

You have the freedom to stay sheltered in place. If I was old and/or had some health issues that would make me vulnerable I'd stay home too. No reason young healthy folks can't go about life with common sense protocols in place. :thumb:

Why make it a letter, how about a gold star instead?

And from the other thread, how does testing change the current situation?

Yup, 300M tests and results a day (so 3.6 trillion per year) and we're right back in this thing. And of course the 100% compliance of all folks who test positive to submit to contact tracing and agree to self quarantine for 14 days (or more, we're still working that out) and to have all of their contacts who are notified via contact tracing to also 100% comply with the min 2 weeks quarantine. Sounds all realistic and achievable. :thumb:

Which also suggests a rise in total deaths across all age groups and increases the chance of localized spikes (meat packing, vege production, prisons, care centers, schools) which can shut an entire state back down. People seem to not recognize that. Again, C19 appears to be a low margin, bulk retailer. Even at current infection rates it’s likely it will continue to be a roller coaster ride.

Nope. How can it suggest a rise in deaths? Are there piles of bodies out there not being counted? A rise in CASES <> a rise in deaths. Deaths are what they are.

Is the disease deadly?

Does the number of infected increase the number of deaths?
Yes. No.

AZ has been arguing for weeks that the number of infected has been undercounted. If the number of infected is higher than originally thought and the deaths haven't increased proportionally, that means that the virus while deadly isn't as deadly as originally feared.
Being wrong about a topic is called post partisanism - kalm

MAQA - putting the Q into qrazy qanon qult qonspiracy theories since 2015.

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

Precisely. One of the main (if not THE main) reasons its such a feared virus is the supposed death rate. If cases are vastly undercounted (which it’s becoming more and more clear is the case) then the death rate is being vastly OVER stated.
