Trump appears to be hemorrhaging voters in the 65+ demographic. It was one of his best in 2016. If that holds... Trump ain't getting reelected.

I don't mind Klobuchar, but what does she do to help the ticket, other than to keep Minnesota blue? I don't know that she flips any of Wisconsin, Michigan, or PA, let alone all 3 of them, and I certainly don't see her helping in NC or Georgia. As CID says, the Bernie folks won't like it at all, and it wouldn't go over great in the Black voting block either. It's a safe choice, for sure, but it probably doesn't help very much either.

I think she appeals to the white, working class Dems that Hillary took for granted and lost in 2016. That and her being a midwesterner helps in WI and MI.

The slate of Dem candidates was pretty dismal. Only two would have made decent presidents ... maybe three (Buttigieg, Klobuchar, Yang)

But none of those three would be VP picks. If Biden picked any of them I would be VERY surprised. But... if he did, I could be tempted to vote for him. I don’t like Scranton Joe and think he is as swampy and crooked as they come

But I am also confident he will be incapacitated or even dead before his first term is up. If he picked Yang it would give me serious pause about my boycott of the duopoly

Clyburn is not picking the VP because he would go with the romance novel author from GA and she’s already a proven loser

At this point in time I think Klobuchar’s star is rising... which is surprising to me, but there it is
