Delaware won’t be #3 for long. The Court of Chancery just essentially invalidated the state’s school tax system, which probably means new and higher property valuations and, hence, higher property taxes. And I think we’ll have a sales tax within 5 years, as DE usually ranks somewhere in the 40s in terms of fiscal (mis)management.

I have enjoyed my time in Texas as long as I wasn't in Dallas/FW or Houston. Getting outside of those places (and probably Austin) is where Texas really begins.

I didn't mind visiting those places for a bit on business, but I wouldn't live there. I like the country side better.

I’ve lived here 7 years. I’ve met literally NO ONE who likes Houston. Dallas is about 50/50. Ft Worth has it’s own “vibe” and I’d agree with Chizzy there. I’m not a uuuuuuge fan of Austin, but at least its in some pretty country. The rest of the state? Just filled with downright good people.

I have been all over the eastern part of the state and I could see myself moving there. The western half I just haven't spent enough time there to have an opinion.

Ft Worth definitely has its own vibe, reminded me a bit of Denver in some ways.

Yes, I’m a newbie at 7 years and counting...but I was traveling to Houston for 3 years regularly before that and I’m here to tell you, even TEXANS don’t like Houston.

Not a big East or West Texas fan.....I like me some Hill Country though. Just wish them hills were a little bigger.
