True but the same could be said of minority voters in old decaying urban wastelands getting bitter and clinging to racism to explain their frustrations. Racism is unfortunately still a factor but it isn't the only factor and I don't think it's the primary factor (chances of success are greater if one is born in a middle-class, black family than if they're born in a poor, white family).

Why is it ok for Obama to say that but not for a white politician to say something about minorities in the inner cities clinging to racism to explain their frustrations?
