Being upset b/c Trump hasn't overstepped his boundaries RE: state rights by telling people to stay home to help curb a virus is the same as saying you're upset he IS going to overstep his bounds RE: states rights by sending the military out to halt crime? That's a bit of a stretch...
So you prefer a lack of leadership to leading from behind?
You call fascism leadership?
BunkerBoy has no clue how to be a leader
I don't deny that he has zero crew how to lead people who aren't sycophants but i'm not sure we're fascists. I think he certainly wants to go that route, but i'm not sure we have gone that far.

Yeah, not really.

What?
That's not what Shapiro is talking about, not even close.

Are there levels of fascism?
I know we’re better than this and we’ll get through it on the strength of our system but there are certainly some strong desires to go there.
Also, corporatism is a component of fascism but Trump’s antics have probably pissed off a few in the corporate world as well.

There are levels (or flavors) of fascism. But tell me, what has Trump actually done that is any more fascist than what Obama did? Executive Orders? Signing a Patriot Act renewal? Maybe that stupid and probably unconstitutional executive order on social media platforms.
Trump is a narcissistic egomaniac and while he might wish he had that kind of authority he doesn't and he's not about to get it so claims of fascism are either uninformed or intentionally misleading (i.e. lying).

You do realize that your 2nd paragraph basically is the same as what I wrote?
Regarding obama or really most politicians, the corporate side is certainly there and has been for quite some time. Economically we’re just a kinder, gentle form of Italian fascism minus the murdering of partisans.
When Trump attempts to stifle 1st amendment rights and calls for military intervention against US citizens, he’s clearly crossed a line. Thank god no one appears to be taking him seriously.
The concern is he’s seemingly removed everyone around him who might talk some sense. Like I’ve mentioned before, he has very few remaining options for bowing out gracefully.

I'm glad that we agree that people who call Trump a fascist are either uninformed or being intentionally misleading (i.e. lying).

You keep misunderstanding Trump's motives. He simply tweets something and then watches the Left oppose him and go apoplectic, only to show their true colors.
Trump says protestors are causing problems, the Left says he is crazy and then burns down more shit.
Predictable. He doesn't have to follow through, just let the left step on the rake, over and over and over...
