1) Not even remotely like the shitshow that’s been ongoing by the left since Trump was elected.
2) So, you mean like Obama?
You're completely out-of-touch if you think Obama has been vocal after leaving office. If anything, his side wants him to be more prominent. Like most important people, he says things during significant moments, but the dude's been fairly out of the spotlight since leaving.

We'll probably hear from Trump EVERYDAY after he leaves office.

You can be assured Trump will bitch and moan and spew lie after lie if he loses in November. That's his MO.
You misspelled Hillary Clinton.
Is she running again...?

As part of an effort to refute a recent flurry of bad polling, the Trump campaign sent a cease and desist letter to CNN demanding they apologize and retract a poll showing former Vice President Joe Biden leading by a wide margin, which CNN refused to do.

I’ll explain it to you. Trump sent an angry letter to CNN asking them to quit talking about his shitty poll numbers.

it’s a Forbes article.

Essentially, Trump sent them a letter saying their polls are making him look bad. What a bitch.

You don’t get it. I’m not shocked. READ THE ARTICLE!

Then come back and tell us how it’s no big deal to threaten the press for executing their constitutional right. I’ll be here waiting.

Eh, Trump is fairly benign when it comes to his Twitter rants. I get it that he's the President and has the weight of the office behind him, but he's also a certifiable buffoon and clown so much of it is just bluster, and most of it stays as just that, bluster without action. If you're that concerned about the freedom of the press, I'd be more concerned about the quick removal of several newspaper editors for either flippant or not-reverent enough stances relative to the current direction and thought of this country following the Floyd protests. Sure, it's on some of them for not being able to read the room and know what would and wouldn't be accepted, but when folks get summarily dismissed from newspaper jobs, especially from the opinion sections of newspapers, simply because they didn't toe the line of accepted opinion, I think that makes Trump's midnight Twitter tirades look as inconsequential as they are.

This was a letter sent from his lawyers to CNN. It wasn't a tweet (he may have tweeted about it, i don't know). But it's just another example of his dumbfuckery at work.

Lighten up, Francis. I simply took it as funny rather than a real threat to the 1A.

That's not what freedom of the press is, Professor Ganny.

Arresting and assaulting journalists covering the protests is a better example. :twocents:

Nah, I'd argue that there's more damage to the freedom of the press due to the cancel culture, the Twitter/social media/doxing culture, and the withdraw of tolerance than there is from the clumsy arresting, on camera, of a handful of journalists covering a protest (especially when they don't arrest the journalists that are covering and filming the other journalists being arrested). The latter is just clumsy and doomed to failure, whereas the former is much more insidious and pernicious, and has been far more successful.

There's no doubt that Trump is a petulant child regarding the press. But I must've missed all the concern about Barry and crew when they were:

Spying on reporter James Rosen and his family on a leak investigation
Labeling Fox as illegitimate and Fox's point of view as ultimately destructive
Spying on reporter Sharyl Attkisson with no warrant or court order

And Trump is smart like a fox. Now instead of people talking about the bad poll numbers they are talking about the bad orange man trying to stifle the press. Riles his base up and they love him even more.

He's never been in danger of losing his base, just the Dems that broke ranks and voted for him.

And what Obama did was equally wrong.
