Polls were pretty spot on about the popular vote: Clinton beat Trump as predicted.

Where they messed up is predicting the margins in the swing states, where the stupidity that is the EC matters.

So far, there's been quite an emphasis on data collection from swing states.

Which "independents" are they polling? I don't know one true independent that would vote for Biden and in their eyes he is as despicable as Trump is.

And if everything holds that would mean a rout of the Democrats in 2022 and a hostile Congress to the second half of term for the VP who takes over for Biden when he steps aside. 2024 will mean a Presidential election between that person and whomever the GOP goes to in the aftermath of Trumpdom. Should make for a fairly tumultuous political period, even more so than the past 10-12 years. Such is the case when the leadership void in both parties is as pronounced as it is now.

One of the most popular Democrats in office right now; 74% of Dems would vote for her (if they could).

If she keeps her numbers up, that popularity will definitely lead her to a nomination in the future if she seeks it.

I bet Dukakis was up by close to 30 among independents..And Bush beat Dukakis by 8 points- that's a 25 point swing in 3+ months And Dukakis was suffering from early onset dementia. (at least I don't believe he was)..
