So any thoughts on Trump directing all COVID data to go to HHS and not CDC?

I don’t buy the excuse that the CDC is Ill-equipped but that HHS isn’t since the CDC falls under HHS. If there’s a problem - then let’s fix it. If there’s a problem in the CDC - then why isn’t HHS trying to solve it? If HHS is better, why aren’t they doing what they can to improve the CDC? Something sounds fishy.

Trump spends more time denying the virus than trying to fight it and reassure his country. He’s a horrible leader.

Once again. Just half ass following, but assume the CDC has been all over the board with their data definitions.

Too many 180's from a decent portion of the government.

Read a little and the rationale was the CDC had a week delay and the administration wanted more real time.

Not exactly what we purchased but pretty similar:

Also another advantage we have is that our buildings are new or are recently remodeled so all have modern air handling and air exchange systems. Keeps fresh air coming in and old air going out which should also help some.
One of these also works. :geek:

This is one of the many reasons we’ve decided to homeschool. I can see it now - Susy goes home to her SJW parents and say that Bobby took his mask off. Suddenly the school has to deal with an irate parent and the teachers are getting punished. It’s a no-won situation.

Good for you. I was homeschooled for a few years (Dad was switching jobs in the middle of a school year) and I turned out perfect. :D

See? A lot of you think Trump isn't a great President, but this right here is another example of how good he is. He proposes to reduce testing so that new cases are reduced. But he doesn't rest on his laurels after that ingenious idea. He continues to think outside the box and realizes that if we don't report the new cases, then new cases will go to zero. Soon we'll have no more covid at all! :thumb:

Yes, if there were mask orders everywhere with enforcement and compliance, more businesses would be open by now.

You're complaining about Texas still being closed, but they should have had a mask order prior to fucking July.

We lost that ability with community spread. Track and trace is most effective when the numbers are manageable.

A school board meeting on mask requirements in schools in Provo, Utah was disrupted because...you guessed it...a large group of anti-maskers showed up sitting elbow to elbow. They literally booed (viral load increase) when concerns were raised.

We so deserve this... :ohno:

I was in Costco the other day, mask required. Still had a few people walking around looking like assholes without masks. Even when required, you are going to get this crap.

Because no one is claiming it's a magic bullet. It's an asset that reduces spread. Which is why his point/dig makes no sense. But people have to live in worlds of absolutes.

they're not the end all / be all. but, it is the simplest, easiest method to combat spread. other things are better, but they require lots of $$, time, or both.

We were never having football with the media leading this charge....witness how they’re handling the bumps in TX, FL, GA and AZ compared to how they suck Cuomo’s dick in Times Square, despite the fact he presided over 10x the number of deaths because of his incompetence. You KNEW if things starting going up even slightly the media was gonna be all in on the “2nd wave” bullshit, while simultaneously failing to mention the little things called protests and riots that occurred in the first 10 days of June all across the country. But noooooo, it’s all because these damned red states had the audacity to reopen and people went about their lives. Utter BS. TX began reopening on 5/1. Things were FINE until about 6/15, miraculously 15 days after the start of the protests and riots in Houston, Austin, Dallas, San Antonio. Suddenly we see big spikes in new cases but hey, it’s all because a few folks won’t wear masks....god forfucking bid the media call out the protestors and rioters.
