https://www.foxnews.com/politics/bowman ... l-new-yorkAOC-backed Jamaal Bowman defeats powerful Dem Rep. Engel in New York race
It took nearly a month, but a progressive insurgent challenger has toppled longtime Rep. Eliot Engel in New York’s Democratic primary, ousting the powerful chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee in a major upset.
The Associated Press called the race for Jamaal Bowman, a former middle school principal and first-time candidate, on Friday, more than three weeks after the June 23 primary election.

You know, you really should be Trump’s press secretary. You can rationalize anything, and spin the minutiae to your greatest advantage.
Plus, on May 13, 2020, you proudly announced Garcia’s GOP win in the Katie Hill district...in the Blue Wave 2019 thread.

Hypocrite.

Just please God let us get rid of Trump. And a firm rebuke of the Republican Party would nice too. And yes I know that I am not sure you exist. But if you do please see to it that we get rid of Trump and also reduce the Republican Party's influence to the greatest extent possible.
Then, if you are REALLY feeling generous, please start a new conservative political party that actually has integrity.

Ah, but I'm not a Christian. Nor am I a Jew. Nor anything like that. So I can vote for Democrats in order to do what little I can to try to drive the Republican Party into the oblivion in which it belongs. The Republican Party really does need to be penalized for doing what it did in first nominating then rallying behind Trump. There is some chance it could happen. Fingers crossed.Ivytalk wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 3:08 pmBut Yahweh sees the hypocrisy of voting for the Democrats to spare you of the burden of coming up with an alternative to the Democrats.JohnStOnge wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 3:04 pm

Because this '2020 General Election' thread hadn't been started, and Garcia's win in the Hill's district wasn't worth starting a new thread over.Ivytalk wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 2:15 pmYou know, you really should be Trump’s press secretary. Re: 2020 General Election
I have been on CS.com for a long time. There is a paradox. Yes, a massive Republican defeat would mean Democrats will enact anti-conservative policies. But the conservative movement was already in trouble. It needed to convince a population that is evolving culturally and demographically. It was already losing that battle. Then it decided to align with Trump. Or at least enough of it did t put us in this present situation. If there is any chance for conservatism in the long run conservatism needs to disassociate itself with what's been happening with it since Trump walked down that escalator. And I think having the Republican Party get totally drummed during the 2020 elections would increase the probability of that happening.Ivytalk wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 3:25 pmAnd if the Democrats sweep, they will enact sweepingly anti-conservative policies, but Trump will be gone, and you’ll be silent on CS.com.JohnStOnge wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 3:18 pm

It may be too late. The Republican Party's decision to embrace Trump may have already sealed the conservative movement's long term fate. But if it wants to have any chance at long term viability the Republican Party needs to get severely rebuked for what it did.

And you won’t get off your butt to do anything about it. You are no movement conservative: far from it. You will choose to vote for Biden, and will hence be an enabler. An enabler of all the big-government, liberty-killing measures that you purport to despise. But you will either remain silent, or express tepid-or-better support for the New American Socialism. Welcome to the dystopian future, comrade! You will deserve a statue. Birds have to crap somewhere.JohnStOnge wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 4:12 pmI have been on CS.com for a long time. There is a paradox. He’ll be down to diehard supporters like BDKKK and Seattle “4D Chess” Griz by November 3. It might be a loss of Goldwater proportions.
