Ripken's career actually goes AGAINST the grain of the typical steroid user....they're oft-injured, he was NEVER injured. There is no year that jumps out at you as a "juiced" year....I highly doubt he juiced.

Eckersley went from an 18-year old starter with a blazing fastball and iffy control to one of the best relievers of all time with pinpoint control and a command of several pitches. If you needed 9th-inning ground balls, Eck was the man. He was no juicer.

He may have enjoyed a little weed from time to time, but that's another story! ;)

Exactly...steroids, or any other PED, cannot give you the pinpoint control he had...might increase velocity but it can't do what Eck did so consistantly...

Bet he had good weed, though... :mrgreen:
