I lean this way too. Regardless, it will be interesting to see what happens with his supporters and the Republican Party.

It's all in how the votes were treated. Looks like Texas is bringing a lawsuit.
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020 ... rt+News%29
What does Texas hope to gain? Guess which ballots are "illegal"? I'm not sure how you can fairly and accurately determine that.
OR you can split the 62 EV from the four states. That still wouldn't give Trump 270.
Or a different path meaning...let the state legislatures decide?
I'm interested in what will happen and how the Safe Harbor deadline could affect this.
Did everyone else meet the same standard, or are we going to allow people to simply scribbles on a napkin and count it as a valid vote? Extreme example, but I believe that is what they are getting at.
Remember. When Obama did this, it was hard knuckle politics. Now it's wrong.

Re: 2020 General Election
Texas is saying the 4 states illegally changed their election procedures due to COVID-19. Texas is asking to set aside/not count/throw away millions of votes from residents of states other than Texas. What's the injury to Texas? Hasn't a similar case been filed with the Supreme Court and thrown out?SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Tue Dec 08, 2020 11:12 amIt's all in how the votes were treated. Besides, this is just a publicity stunt. The AG is a Trump loyalists and wants to have a future in Republican politics. This is all for show.
Btw - does anyone find it ironic that an AG under FBI Investigation for criminal conduct and actually was indicted on fraud charges is now trying to sue in the name of fairness and the law?

Yeah. Because Edward Norton played a card player in a movie once, and his DAD is a prosecutor, he's now the political expert defining Trump's every move.
This is a long way of Norton saying "I have zero fucking clue why Trump's doing this, but here's my conspiracy theory".

Secondly, Texas' "injury" is having to put up with Biden (or worse, HARRIS) as President for the next four years!

Not everyone in the election had to do that, and I believe that is the crux of the case.

I have no idea if it's a plan, but I would expect all the weak stuff to come first. Ain't going straight to the Supreme Court. It's got to lose it's way there.

Yes one more indication that the Republican Party is totally corrupt. We had an election. Biden won. Now we've had to endure a month of Republicans trying to turn us into a banana republic where the guy who clearly lost the election gets to stay in office anyway.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Tue Dec 08, 2020 8:58 am Mentioned it early in this thread that the main attack was going to be if votes were equal as they have to be.

Though I would not put anything past the corrupt Republican Party at this point, we can hope that is holds:
https://www.usnews.com/news/politics/ar ... bidens-win
https://www.usnews.com/news/politics/ar ... bidens-win
This is ridiculous anyway. Biden won the election and it wasn't even that close. The Republican Party has now identified itself as a threat to our Democratic Republic form of of government. At this point anybody who continues to vote Republican is either horribly ignorant or willfully corrupt.Other than Wisconsin, every state appears to have met the safe harbor deadline, which means Congress has to accept the electoral votes that will be cast next week and sent to the Capitol for counting on Jan. 6. Those votes will elect Biden as the country's next president.

Re: 2020 General Election
No because Trump did commit an offense that merited impeachment and removal from office. The reason it didn't happen is because the Republicans controlled the Senate. Right now we are seeing just how corrupt the Republican Party is. The Republicans in the Senate were corrupt then and they are corrupt now.UNI88 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 08, 2020 5:25 pmYes one more indication that the Democratic Party is totally corrupt. There is a difference between Congress impeaching a President because of high crimes and/or misdemeanors and trying to overturn the results of a fair election.

Re: 2020 General Election
We had 4 years of "Trump is an illegitimate president because Russia" (looking at you jelly) with Hillary still not accepting defeat 4 years later and it's Trump that is sowing the seeds of doubt? Be serious.Ibanez wrote: ↑Tue Dec 08, 2020 6:27 amThis isn't about fraud.
There's always going to be fraud and it should be weeded out whenever its founded and those that deal in it should be punished. But was there widespread fraud in several states to swing the election? No.
Trumps actions are about undermining our election process and sowing seeds of doubt. The pattern is so painfully obvious - because it's his usual M.O.
When Trump exhausts his legal challenges, he'll move on to the next grift.
