I remember posting an HCQ story and how India was using it as a prophylactic in some of their worst slums and it worked like a charm, but that was me being a shill for Trump.

Funny how this thread is turning into a Jellyesque Russia collusion thread as the new President is in power and it's okay to speak the truth now.

Yeah, Reuters has no agenda. The article plainly states it was used in slums like I said, but not universally. It obviously was used in conjunction with isolation, which has been known to work for about 2000 years.
the drug was given as a preventive measure to some residents of a densely-populated neighbourhood in Mumbai
Now why wouldn't they use it when their own studies prove its efficacy? And if it didn't work, why give it to healthcare workers and police?

https://health.economictimes.indiatimes ... s/76172274
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has maintained its recommendation and approved the use of HCQ as prophylaxis based on the studies conducted in India, despite World Health Organisation (WHO) suspending the clinical trials using hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) under its Solidarity Trial.

I'm undecided. I'm not opposed to them per se but 89Henette has received both doses and she got a 102 fever from the second and I've never had a flu shot.

Get it - an 8hr long fever is nothing in the grand scheme of things. I sometimes get a sore arm when I donate blood (depends on the nurse you get) but I still give blood.

I never reacted to a flu shot. I have two close friends who got really sick (102 fever, severe aches, “teeth clenching” when you tried to get up” sick for about two days after the 2nd Moderna shot.

I have another 38 year old friend who was hospitalized and he and his wife were seriously down for about two weeks with Covid. He’s going back in a month later after kidney damage has shown up.

Not fun for some but still worth it for yourself and community.

Does your 38 year old friend have any comorbidities? My brother in law got endocarditis and I don't think he had any comorbidities.

Cuomo lied, and old people died.

Cuomo aide admits they hid nursing home data so feds wouldn’t find out

Test less so the case numbers go down...wasn't someone raked over the coals for recommending this approach?

January was America's deadliest month
January was the deadliest month of the pandemic in America: At least 95,245 people died from Covid-19.

And the situation doesn't look likely to turn a corner anytime soon. Even in a best-case scenario, close to another 200,000 Americans are likely to die between now and May 1, according to a new projection from the University of Washington.
But the data said it was the right time to open back up? :dunce:

Wait, your prediction is the current CDC death toll, at 470k now, will be up to 750k by May 1st?
or
It will be the current 470k PLUS 750K to 1.2+ million by May 1st?

No. My prediction has nothing to do with CDC. I predict that about 250,000 people will die each month. Has nothing to do with COVID.

California is now the state with the most total covid deaths. Passing New York. The more covid spreads, the more opportunity it has to mutate.

With more than twice the population of NY....just to put that into perspective.

In fact, NY is 2nd in deaths/million population, only behind NJ. CA is 33rd, well below the national average.

Dec 1, NY had 34,000 and Cali 19,000.

Not denying that. Cali is STILL 33rd in terms of deaths/million, while NY remains at/near the top. Cali would need to have almost 80,000 deaths to get near NY....
