My job is now requiring me to wear a mask again. Even though I've had it and am fully vaccinated. So I'm here, wearing a spandex gator that is just for show. This is such bullsh!t.

That we wouldn't reach herd immunity through vaccinations or there would be a pivot in treatment? My idea of the pivot was to blame Trump for "faulty" vaccines and start focus on prevention.

If I remember correctly it was that herd immunity likely wasn't possible because of the type of virus. We don't get herd immunity from the common cold.

I'm sure some people that don't usually work remotely, have found that they enjoy working remotely, and it may be more permanent that previously imagined. We were just given the news that my group is going back to 100% remote.

I went to 100% remote about a week after they sent us all home last March. I love working out of my shed!

Do you think it's possible one of the reasons the Delta variant doesn't appear to be as deadly is because the first two waves eliminated most of the most at-risk population? Across the country, case rates are up 10-15 fold, while deaths are up just 2-3x from their mid-summer lows.

Get ready for that date to be pushed back. We went back 3 days a week beginning June 2, and this week went BACK to full remote because of climbing case counts.

and the rest got vaccinated and more younger people are getting it. Or we just haven't reached the threshold of deaths following cases. As we found out the first couple waves, there was a few week lag from the peak of cases to the peak of death.
