Common Ground on the Healthcare Debate?

I've been reading these HC threads and the news snippets recently and besides being completely perplexed by the droves of counter-information coming from both sides, I haven't really seen anyone on here or elsewhere stop and say you know what, here are the things we can all agree need to be fixed. Instead, the arguments are just that the oppositions ideas are horrible and will lead to the US literally falling off the earth.

How about a thread were we discuss what is really wrong today, because quite frankly I have had little personal issues with the healthcare and insurance industries in this country.

A few things that I think are wrong though:

1. ability of small businesses to afford healthcare for workers
2. lack of routine available medical care for the poor (ER's are overrrun by poor people who have a cold).
3. malpractice insurance rates (can easily be blamed on the legal system as it relates to awards for claims, not necessarily on the participants).
4. main drive for most doctors to enter the profession is to make money. That could be caused by ridiculous tuition and loans they are forced to incur.

Anybody have any others? Am I crazy to think that there are issues that we all can agree on?

Nope, not crazy....naive, but not crazy....there's no political future in agreeing with your rival party on legislation to the chagrin of your home party...will be used against you in the next cycle primary...

In a divisive 2 party system filled with corruption there is no advantage in "common ground"
Somebody has to be responsible (blamed) for our troubled health care system
