This NIL Stuff is Getting Stupid
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

I wouldn't let him out of the LOI just because his 13 million NIL deal fell through. Or make it count as his one transfer. 4 star recruit BTW (not 5)..

Not letting him out of his LOI would have scared away future recruits. The athletes have the leverage now.BDKJMU wrote: ↑Wed Jan 18, 2023 11:39 am I wouldn't let him out of the LOI just because his 13 million NIL deal fell through. Or make it count as his one transfer. 4 star recruit BTW (not 5)..

Saban is right.
https://www.outkick.com/nick-saban-call ... er-portal/“Someone with one of the best corners in the nation (in high school) came to me and asked if we’d pay them $800,000 for the player to sign here. I told him he can find another place to play,” Saban said, according to Baker High School (Mobile) coach Steve Normand, who was there.
“I’m not paying a kid a bunch of NIL money before he earns it,” Normand said Saban added.
“Yes, he did say that,” Norman told OutKick on Saturday morning. “Coach Saban was talking about that and how there has to be more regulations with NIL and how the NCAA needs more ways and means to control it because it’s getting out of hand.”….
…..When asked about the portal, Curtis confirmed that Saban said this: “We lost 10 players and one starter to the portal this year. One of them wanted $500,000 and for us to get his girlfriend into law school at Alabama and pay for it. I showed him the door.”

Good for them it's about time the coaches have had the advantage for decades they can no longer tell these people what they can't do.Coaches can leave anytime they want and no one says anything about it.UNI88 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 12:36 pmNot letting him out of his LOI would have scared away future recruits.
