I-AA Game of the Week - FIRST ROUND
Some really compelling games this year. Several that I'd have a hard time picking a winner with any confidence.

I picked Missouri State over UT-Martin. I think Mo State is the darkhorse candidate for a deep run this year.

It's a ringer this year. @ Montana State then then @ Sam.
I think we're going to see JMU/NDSU one last time in the semis. Has Montana ever won away from Missoula?

Re: I-AA Game of the Week - FIRST ROUND
I was pretty tied up between TN-Martin at SW MO State and UNI at Eastern Washington for the Game of the Week. I ultimately went with TN-Martin. UCD has been so down the last month or so, that their tilt at SDSU diminishes in comparison. The idea of Causeway 2.0 is intriguing, however....
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

I went with So Dakota & So Illinois. That should be an evenly matched game.
Naturally, I'm more curious about the outcome of No. Iowa at Eastern Washington. Yet I expect the Eagles will overwhelm the MVFC Panthers.

I realize you're 'poking the bear' but yes the Grizzlies have won outside of Missoula.
O you of short memory, Montana beat James Madison on their field in Virginia, I believe that was a semi-final. This year they'll do it again in a quarter final.
As for week one I see the following advancing:
Incarnate Word
Missouri State
Holy Cross
So Dakota St
SE Louisiana
E Washington
Kennesaw St
So Dakota
Good luck to all, yet Go Griz!

No. No need for JMU to even show up.

That's right. 1-10 away from home in the playoffs. My bad.Grizzlies1982 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 4:36 pm I realize you're 'poking the bear' but yes the Grizzlies have won outside of Missoula.

I picked EWU in the poll.
I think it's going to be a home team sweep in the 1st round. Southern Ill might be the only exception.

Had to go UNI at EWU. This game stands out from the others as having a much higher level of competition.

Hey, let's not forget to mention beating Marshall at Marshall.
Otherwise, you might have a point. The Grizzlies do seem to play better at home.
The days of the Marshall Invitational were brutal.
