QF - #6 Montana @ #3 James Madison (Friday)

He’s not a burner. But he’s got GREAT hands. More of a possession receiver (Ala Steve Largent)….we’ve got two burners (Akem & Flowers) who ARE deep threats and are finally being utilized as such.

I would add him to the burner group every time I hear about a WHITE GUY playing WR he is automatically called a POSSESSION WR whereas BLACK GUYS are DEEP THREATS.I have a personal dream I want to see a BLACK QB team up with a WHITE WR with size and speed.In NFL LORE all of the great pass&catch combos all the QBs were White of course.I bet Akem&Flowers are black????

yes, Akem and Flowers are black. Our burner white guy (Sulser) blew out his knee again this year and missed most of the season. He’s our slot guy, but ran something like a 10.3 100 or something like that in HS….

Personally, I don’t care what color the WR’s are. Or the QB. As long as they can throw, catch and run…

I have developed a certain fascination with WHITE GUYS who are speed merchants and Sulser as you said fits the bills hope he makes a quickly recovery this goes back to me hearing stories about the LEGENDARY DON HUTSON in the '30s-'40s.

Okay I saw his bio he was a 4x high school champ in the hurdles.Flowers has good size as well 6'2 200.I saw this yes he has obvious big play potential.Lets see what he does vs JMU????

Gotta be honest. I see him making most of his impact on Kick Return, if they kick to him, and jet sweeps. I have yet to see Flowers be a receiving threat. Don't know why. He doesn't appear to have stone hands. Maybe his job is to simply stretch the field. Either that, or they have been waiting ALL year to finally bust out his big game. Double secret plan.

Better hope that plan is revealed this Friday

No quite but to me he is the son STEVE LARGENT kept quiet about I wished that he was a deep threat if I was his college coach at Eastern Washington I would have put him on the track team to develop his speed.

Saw Sulser he was a hurdler in high school ran 14.2 if this was back in the '90s he at 5'9 170 would be perfect for the old Run-N-Shoot Oilers in Houston.

In terms of longevity Cunningham does not count but while he and Moss were in action they were among the most feared.If Culpepper&Moss had stayed together in Minnesota them yes they would be among the all time greats.

Everyone should hold off on ‘the crowd/attendance sucks’ comments the 1st qtr. Saw on the JMU board are expecting 15,000. Frankly I’d be surprised if its that. But I bet close to half will be late arrivals. Last week’s announced was 11,700+, and close to half of them were late arrivals. Fri night 7 PM game, with the majority of JMU’s fansbase outside the students coming from thr DC-Baltimore area (2-3 hours), Richmond area (2 hours), and Tidewater (3 hours). And for people coming from the DC area, mid afternoon on will be stop and go on I66 until way west of DC..The crowd won’t peak out till mid 2nd qtr I think.

Think JMU is about as healthy/injured as usual this time of year. I bet for the 8 teams left its an avg of about 4-5 starters out going back to summer camp. For JMU its the same as last week vs SELA. Majority of the below season ending inuries.
