Frankly, as a Moderna recipient, I am all for that. My understanding is that there are indications are that effectiveness in terms of neutralizing antibodies begins to wane around 11 weeks. That's just one number I heard. I would be perfectly fine with taking a booster ever 2 or 3 months if that's what it takes. If they announce that we can get a second booster of Moderna I'll be as close to the front of the line as I can get to get one.

No, he did not admit that he lied about masks because he did not lie about masks. I just went through that. When he said masks are for preventing infected people from infecting others and that there wasn't much if any benefit in terms of protecting the wearer that was (and I think still is) the consensus opinion of the public health community. And he said before the recommendation was changed that keeping masks available for health care workers was a reason for not having everybody run out and buy masks. Him saying after the recommendation changed that they didn't want people running out and buying masks because they wanted to make sure they were available for health care personnel was completely consistent with what he said before the recommendation changed.

The change in recommendation was still consistent with the idea that infected people should wear masks to avoid transmitting to others. What changed is that they became convinced that people could be infected without anybody being able to tell so we had to assume anybody could be infectious at any time.

I've had three. But, frankly, I would be fine based on what I've seen with getting one about every three months. I would also like to see them tweak the vaccines to adjust to evolution of the virus. I would be fine with that. A shot ever three months or so is not a big deal.

It'd be great if it could be just once per year like the flu shot. But once every three months would not be that much of an inconvenience.

He said the only reason the recommendation changed was because in the beginning they didn’t want a run on masks. Once THAT was prevented, they changed the recommendation. So he lied about the necessity to prevent a run. Is that so hard to understand?

Iowa has a state OSHA division with an approved plan so the state handles OSHA enforcement rather than the Feds. Iowa OSHA just said their state plan is just as effective at fighting Covid as the proposed Fed requirement for vax mandates and they will not be adopting or enforcing the Fed mandate.
