A Super Bowl I* rematch would be very interesting, indeed, 89. Also, while not likely, a rematch of Super Bowl II* is ALSO theoretically possible.
Other possible (though even less likely) rematches are:
Super Bowl X/XIII/XXX* (Team of the '70s vs. #2 Team of '70s)
Super Bowl XIV
Super Bowl XV
Super Bowl XVI/XXIII
Super Bowl XXVII/XXVIII
Super Bowl XXXI
Super Bowl XXXIV
Super Bowl XXXVI
Super Bowl XXXVII
Super Bowl XXXIX
Super Bowl XLIII
Super Bowl XLV* (Team of the '60s vs. Team of the '70s)
Super Bowl LII
Super Bowl LIII
Super Bowl LIV
Super Bowl LV (last year).

What if the Packers make the Super Bowl and KAaron Rogers tests positive for COVID a few days before the game?

BTW, with the weather forecast, I'm not sure the Bills beat the Pats, but I'll stick with it.

Haven't they said if you already have sat out for a positive COVID test you don't get tested anymore? I thought that was why the Eagles threw a bunch of players into the COVID protocol before the cowboys game, to ensure that they couldn't be tested come playoff time. I'm thinking the NFL is going to be looking the other way come playoff time. And I'm okay with that.

Yeah, if I picked what I want to happen...
Raiders > Bengals

Chiefs > Steelers
Cards > Rams
49ers > Cowboys
Eagles > Bucs
Titans > Raiders
Chiefs > Bills
Eagles > Packers
Cards > 49ers
Chiefs > Titans

Hell, I'd be just thrilled if the Eagles won and Cowboys lost first week. That would be enough for me to be happy.

I think there was a time limit for how long you would go without testing and KAaron's runs out just before the Super Bowl.GannonFan wrote: ↑Wed Jan 12, 2022 8:41 amHaven't they said if you already have sat out for a positive COVID test you don't get tested anymore? It would suck if a major player missed the Super Bowl but it would also be funny if KAaron missed it after his inner diva came out earlier in the season.

As I said, I guarantee the NFL will avoid any COVID issues with players missing time in the playoffs. For the NFL, COVID will magically disappear for the next few weeks for any teams still in the playoffs.UNI88 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 12, 2022 10:19 amI think there was a time limit for how long you would go without testing and KAaron's runs out just before the Super Bowl.GannonFan wrote: ↑Wed Jan 12, 2022 8:41 am

Playoff Overtime Rules
Just announced:
1. As it's always been for Playoff OTs, if the score is tied, the game continues into another overtime period.
2. A two-minute intermission will happen between OT periods, similar to the intermission between quarters during a regular game. There will NOT be "halftime" intermissions after every other OT period.
3. The loser of the OT coin toss will choose to possess the ball or to defend a goal, unless the winner of the toss deferred. (I presume this means at the opening to 2OT.)
4. Each team gets three timeouts during each "half" of overtime.
5. Second- and fourth-quarter timing rules will apply during 2OT and 4OT, but not OT or 3OT. The pattern would continue should the game go beyond 4OT.
6. Should a game go beyond 4OT, a new coin toss would happen, and the game would continue as before.
7. No word on if this playoff OT would revert to the original 15-min OT. I think it will.

Jerome Boger's crew is apparently done for the playoffs after botching the end of the LV-CIN game.

Re: 2022 NFL Playoff Pool
I'm officially holding to my first list, but updating for SWC results. I would switch TEN over CIN and GB over SF, though. Looking further on, I will hold the line with the Dallas Texans making the Super Bowl on the AFC side, but with Dallas now gone, I find that I would choose GB on the NFC side, thereby generating a Super Bowl I rematch. FWIW, I absolutely deplore the NFL's bogus idea of reseeding after every round....

5 LV d. 4 CIN.
3 BUF d. 6 NE

So only three have entered. I'm shocked. 93 is in the lead with a clean slate so far. 89 is not far behind with one mistake (LV). I'm bringing up the rear with two mistakes. (So what else is new? When one goes with one's heart, one is often left heartbroken....)
