Hey! This is misinformation.

Good thing I didn't listen to those making the claim and focused my family on getting moderate amounts of sun this last summer and supplementing with Vit D and Cod Liver oil for the last year plus.

This is also why it's always best to study and realize MDs don't know all. I asked my doctor if he was going to screen me for Vitamin D levels during my last physical and he was clueless as to why.

and if it's true? Then the lockdowns/stay at home orders/stay inside orders did nothing but exacerbate people's vitamin D deficiencies and exacerbate the severity of the virus.

Maybe that's a good thing. Rather than going to malls, movies, sit-down restaurants, etc., smart people got outside and enjoyed nature. The trails around me were more crowded with hikers. We culled the heard. Darwinism at work.

If she’s going to deflect I would offerthat the State Dept is a bad place to deflect to

As I rarely watch any pressers, is that normal? To defer to the agency supposedly responsible? Has Psaki done it more than previous press secretaries?

I thought her response was weak, but if that is actually normal, then I can't complain.

Weren't we told by the "premier" epidemiological entity (CDC) that the mRNA was removed from your body after a week at most? This study shows it is found in your lymph nodes up to 60 days and could be longer, but 60 days was all they studied. mRNA generated spike protein is as high as those who catch an acute case of COVID.

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/a ... 7422000769
In contrast to disrupted germinal centers (GCs) in lymph nodes during infection, mRNA vaccination stimulates robust GCs containing vaccine mRNA and spike antigen up to 8 weeks postvaccination in some cases.
The biodistribution, quantity, and persistence of vaccine mRNA and spike antigen after vaccination and viral antigens after SARS-CoV-2 infection are incompletely understood but are likely to be major determinants of immune responses. We performed in situ hybridization with control and SARS-CoV-2 vaccine mRNA-specific RNAScope probes in the core needle biopsies of the ipsilateral axillary LNs that were collected 7–60 days after the second dose of mRNA-1273 or BNT162b2 vaccination and detected vaccine mRNA collected in the GCs of LNs on days 7, 16, and 37 postvaccination, with lower but still appreciable specific signal at day 60
At least some portion of spike antigen generated after administration of BNT162b2 becomes distributed into the blood. We detected spike antigen in 96% of vaccinees in plasma collected 1–2 days after the prime injection, with antigen levels reaching as high as 174 pg/mL. The range of spike antigen concentrations in the blood of vaccinees at this early time point largely overlaps with the range of spike antigen concentrations reported in plasma in a study of acute infection (Ogata et al., 2020) although a small number of infected individuals had higher concentrations in the ng/mL range.

Buddy posted a picture of himself in the hospital with Covid this morning. Talked to him yesterday, he said he tested positive and was at Panera getting soup.

Not being a jerk, but have you and your friends been without restrictions where you live?

I ask because I still do not know one person locally that has caught COVID. COVID must hate the Seattle area.

No restrictions basically, unless you go into Minneapolis/St Paul to eat. Some places can require masks, most recommend, but very few wear them, or does social distancing or anything else. Have 3 friends in the hospital right now. 1 is recovering day 55, 1 is fresh in the hospital and the other is not known. A fourth person recently recovered but has a permanent covid cough due to lung scarring.

I posted before, I know lots who got Omicron, but all of them were double vaxed, boosted and we've been wearing masks everywhere.

Philly is dropping the vaccine mandate, I assume now, but are keeping the mandate for masks in indoor spaces in place (other than the when eating and drinking thing).
