Only a :dunce: would think the mandates were based on science, or were being removed due to science. The mandates are completely driven by politics. #s almost identical to a year ago, when few had been vaccinated. Vaccine and mask mandates make ZERO difference. Virus is gonna virus..

COVID CASES USA
73,392 FEB 24 2022
74,194 FEB 24 2021

DEATHS
2,908 FEB 24 2022
3,210 FEB 24 2021
500,000 Daily New Cases in USA, Jan 24, 2022

77,000 Daily New Case in USA, Feb 24, 2022
177k Daily New Cases in USA, Jan 24, 2021
77,589 Daily New Cases in USA, Feb 24, 2021

So according to Worldometer, roughly the same # of cases exactly 1 year later. Thanks for reinforcing my point.

*#s on 1st post were copied/pasted from Drudge. They keep a daily tally for daily new cases and deaths for the day before, and for the same date 1 yr prior.

No, the drop has been larger and more consistant across the country. 500,000 cases in January 2022 was a lot more than 2021.

You've shown the tail end of a Gompertz curve. I prefer year over year to match seasonality confounders. :kisswink:
Duh, I'm comparing January to February 2022, he took the curve from 2 different years with 2 different circumstances. Are numbers going down consistently or not, despite our differences for the reason?

Active cases show a big drop too. Bdk brought up the cases, so I continued with cases to keep on topic. Sorry that the pandemic is getting over. Need to find something else to monger about.

It's been over for a while, but now we move into the "retribution" portion. Anyone that pedaled lockdowns or policies that resulted in unnecessary deaths and ruined lives, especially those in power, need to be held accountable.

PolitiFact challenged to a debate on misinformation in which they are allowed to have as many people as needed and they don't have to be PolitiFact employees. Group is willing to set debate parameters beforehand as well.

Something tells me they won't accept. PolitiFact is actually PolitiFake

They'll cop out like that "climatologist" Rogan had on that said he wouldn't do a debate because the "science is settled".
