Grizza, when we were talking about the upcoming wolf hunting season a while back, did I say anything negative about it? I didn't, and I'm fine with people killing wolves as long as there's some sort of regulation to it.

You said that you were in support of the reintroduction, it didn't matter which type of wolf to you they introduced into the woods. You were also in support of more 'studies' being done before they open it up to hunting wolves. You were also denying that the wolves played any significant role in the dwindling elk/deer populations.

I don't recall saying the type of wolf didn't matter to me. Then again, I had a lot to drink (for me), so who knows what the fuck I said. Anyhow, the elk will adapt eventually. They aren't the smartest critters, and it's going to take a while for them to figure out that they have a predator other than man again.

That's what really gets me about his whole thing: you and Wedgie act as though you have an exclusive, God given right to kill elk, and wolves have no business doing the same.

No no no youngin', not a god given right to kill, a state given privilege to hunt, that's what we been talking about, and that privilege goes back to entry level at 14 in my days. Wildlife except that that is specially listed by the government as threatened or endangered are managed by the state. Wolves were not introduced by either state, but by the US fish and wildlife service by way of politics and behest of the millions of anti-hunters and bunny huggers outnumbering the total entire population of our states, combined.

Just wait until outside, nonresident, and alien interests swoop in on your activities and decide to fuck up something you have always been able to do, and something you enjoy doing.

As for the cattle kills, the owners of those cattle are being paid for their losses at prime rate, and guess who is paying for them??

As for the cattle kills, the owners of those cattle are being paid for their losses at prime rate, and guess who is paying for them??

I got a problem with them killing cattle, and you should too. They spend millions of dollars reintroducing these **** POS's and then spend millions more removing 'problem individuals/packs'...then spend millions more on paying ranchers/pet owners for wolf kills.

Lets see...tax dollars spent, spent, and spent again...... Obama supporters must like this because it is his thing.

Considering the sweet deal those rugged individuals are getting from the Federal Government on grazing land, I don't see why they're whining. If they had to pay a fair rent they'd be finished, and the land would be better off without them.

I see the point, but what you fail to see, or I missed it in your post, is that we as tax payers are paying for the wolves to be reintroduced, loss of animals, and again for their removal. It sure sounds like a government run program. We as tax payers pay, pay and then pay some more, and to top it all off MOST people didn't want them here to begin with.

And don't get all teary eyed dback, they were here, just not in huge numbers like today.

That is in fact the ticket to the ultimate decision to remove them, not preying on game, but preying on cattle. Introducing 25 wolves last decade cost 25 million of our tax dollars, it will cost ten times that much to rid ourselves of them when the time comes. Write it down, you read it here first.

There are a lot of people in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming that NEED their meat that they get each year during hunting season. YOUR wolf reintroduction plan that you love so damn much has really put a big damper on that these past few years and it shows no sign of letting up. They eat venison from winter through summer because they just don't have the extra capital that others might have. It is none of this, 'don't shoot that one, we'll wait for a bigger one'. It is shoot now if you got the shot.

Being tasty is just a nice second, but these people rely on getting some meat in the freezer during hunting season and your WOLF thing has made these people look elsewhere when they are in need instead of being able to go it on their own.

Nope Griza. I have no problem with targeting problematic bears or wolves. It is wholesale slaughter I object to.

Not really sure what the problem is here but if you are a hunter at all you know dam well what a hunting trip costs. Nobody saves money on a hunting trip. I eat everything I kill. But save money hunting? Please, if I took all the money I spent on hunting trips I could buy a suite at the game. It just doesn't happen much anymore. Does it happen, yes. But I stick by what I said. I will bet less than %5 of the people in this state need to subsistence hunt.

Just saying...he posted that he listened to what you and Wedge had said and took it into consideration while doing more in depth research on the subject. Isn't that what you're looking for in a debate? Gotta let a guy tell you what his epiphanies are.
