Germany has announced that it will buy 35 US-made F-35A fighter jets, the first major arms purchase to be publicly confirmed since Chancellor Olaf Scholz committed to ramping up his country's defense spending in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The German government has made these decisions alongside a choice to become more active in European defenses. Scholz has also taken dramatic steps to limit Germany's economic ties to Russia, including halting the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
The F-35s will replace Germany's aging fleet of Tornados, the only planes in the Luftwaffe's inventory capable of carrying US nuclear bombs that are stored in the country in case of war breaking out in Europe.
The decision to buy F-35s is significant as it will make Germany's air force more compatible with the rest of NATO and other European defense partners who either operate or intend to purchase F-35s.

An OSINT record of vehicles destroyed or captured so far in the conflict. It is being updated pretty regularly.
A detailed list of the destroyed and captured vehicles and equipment of both sides can be seen below. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, munitions, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment (including aircraft) are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. ATGMs and MANPADS are included in the list but not included in the ultimate count. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991.

(Click on the numbers to get a picture of each individual captured or destroyed vehicle)

Yup. He also gets the blame for allowing Putin to invade in the first place. And I thought Trump was good at 6D chess, who knew one had to let Russia invade in order to get members of NATO to increase their spending (believe Italy and non member Sweden are increasing spending).

I saw that - they briefed social media influencers. I take it as an attempt to engage younger people on the issues like Ukraine. It really isn't any different than a president using Twitter to reach out to people.

I would say he had as much to do with Putin invading Ukraine as Trump had to do with keeping Russian out of Ukraine. I think both Trump and Putin were slightly figured into Putin's thought process but were not instrumental either way in the decision making process. Maybe Trump's better foreign policy had more of an effect than Biden's lack thereof, but unless somebody talks to Putin or was in the their planning room at the time, that tidbit will not be known. Overall, Putin was not ready to invade until now (or lost his marbles finally) and that is why it happened now. The rest is just speculation to my knowledge.

I've never been on Tik Tok and i'm seriously trying to reduce my social media use. Honestly -i've been using youtube more lately to help with the construction projects we have going on. And I must say, there are some great resources on there. Same with car repair.
YouTube is great. I really wish I had it growing up for projects we were working on. The home owner how-to videos have been very helpful lately as I am considering doing certain projects.

My socal media I really do not use in the traditional sense and I pretty much have cut it down to about 8 hours a month.

FB is for marketplace only (their new format sucks)
Instagram - Woodworking/Vehichle ideas
Snapchat - Keeping up with some work friends/family when I am on trips
Tik-Tok - machinery crashes or people being stupid
Only social media account I have ever had outside message boards is Youtube, but haven’t posted anything or gone on as much since they started censoring conservatives since the outbreak of the China Virus. Yeah they are very good for instructional videos.

I post twitter stuff on here, but only because I saw it on FNC, Red State, etc or from a sports related source. Don’t have a twitter account.

Don’t know anything about those other social media sites you mentioned. The only social media I do is this board and the JMU one (I assume message boards are considered social media sites). Was active on AGS maybe 06’-09’ but since only occasionally during the season. I waste too much time online as it is.
