Common is key, SG. It’ll be the currency of the day. Hell, if you have 9mm, .45 and .38 and maybe .223 or .556 for the AR guys you’d be set. Even if you don’t own those weapons.
Ammo will be the new currency you are right on the money
Ammo, liquor and precious metals. Those are about all that’ll be worth anything.

Do they still make survial guns like the old .22/.410 over/unders?
They still make ammo for them. That little combo is a great rabbit and grouse gun.

Jack rabbit and pheasant back home. I was mowing lawns to save for one when I inherited a Winchester 101

I remember it being considered the number one cash crop in WA state in the 80’s ahead of apples, cherries, wheat, potatoes and lentils. We’re somewhere near top 10 in most of those categories.

My understanding is that the black market crop in both CA and CO is still a greater revenue generator than the legal crop. And probably always will be.

The problem would be getting there - It's either the Beeline Hwy or US 60 in that direction.
Get out early. Ahead of the crowd. Hell, you and Alex are halfway to Payson already where you live.
Not quite - but only 1.5 miles to the reservation, so not a lot of city to travel through. Just got to beat all the snobs using Shea

Nothing of importance in St. Louis, so you are safe
Scott AFB is just east of St Louis…home of Air Mobility Command, and U.S. Transportation Command…

It is the DoD hub/command node for all mobility assets (Air/Sea/Land) along with a KC-135 unit and other USAF mobility assets…

It’s something!!!
But it is still St. Louis, so...

Same here I am ammo rich but gun poor after the boating accident.

I have 40, 38, 44mag, 9mm, 22LR 308, 5.56, 338 Lapua and 45-70. Just no guns to shoot any of it with

Too many different calibers for the apocalypse. Can’t take your whole arsenal with you.

For 1 person
-.22 LR for .22 rifle (for hunting small game)
-1 pistol caliber for pistol and maybe carbine. 9mm would be the most common choice. 45 ACP if you have like a 1911 and a Thompson. Other options if have a revolver & lever action..
-1 rifle caliber for MSR (.223/5.56 or .308 or 7.62x39)
-12 gauge for a semi auto or pump shotgun

4 calibers and 4-5 guns (well 0 guns since you lost them in a boating accident).

For every additional person with you add a couple guns within those 4 calibers.

It’s not too many, and yes I can. As I stated earlier, some aren’t for YOUR use, they’re for use as barter….Ammo, liquor, weed and precious metals. THOSE will be the currency of an apocalypse. Even if you don’t need/want a couple of those calibers, there will be people who will.

Well 6 post above you were talking about only taking 4 calibers. Now you’re saying your whole arsenal (A gun guy would have double digit different calibers and several doz guns (that fell in the lake)). So which is it?

If I HAD guns of those calibers, I would have ammo for those calibers. But considering the amount of ammo I don’t have for the guns I don’t have I think I have enough and don’t need to buy more in calibers for which I don’t have guns. Clear?

I still want to know who will "walk" through multiple 22lr rounds to get to my family.

Tack drivin' mofo. Only gun that wasn't lost.

I wont disclose locations but the ammo is dispersed in 3 states and one country.
And that country is…MONTANADA!
