It's been studied over and over that in all work environments, people perform better when they're comfortable with themselves. None of the things listed is going to make our military worse and morale is more important than disallowing two tones of nail polish.

I assume the people who devote their lives to good military tactics (which include social/psychological behaviors) know this.

I don't have a problem with having LGBTQIA in stories. Characters in stories should reflect life. 57.8% of the US population is non-Hispanic white and I'm guessing that LGBTQIA is 5-10% so roughly 50% of the population is straight non-Hispanic white and 50% is LGBTQIA and racial minorities. It would seem reasonable for characters to reflect those demographics.

I don't want Disney indoctrinating kids but I also understand the desire to counter hundreds of years of indoctrination that straight, white males are superior.

I wish we could find a way to just let kids be kids and figure out who they are on their own time while we support them on their journey but I'm not sure either extreme is willing to let go of their prejudices and stereotypes.

I'm against indoctrination. I am not against including characters who represent people who are a part of everyday life. I also think that having healthy LGBTQIA characters is a positive because it helps reduce the stigma and will hopefully reduce depression and suicide among the LGBTQIA population. IMO, trying to accept others and caring about their health and welfare is what a good person (and a good Christian) does.

I have a niece on one side of the family, she's almost 12 and she's told us that it's "cool to come out" and people get bullied for NOT being gay, bi, blah blah blah. She's told us she's been peer pressured to be bi and now she's confused. She's thinking b/c there aren't boys she likes then she must be bi or lesbian. There was a kid in her older brothers class that decided one week to be trans and her parents freaked out until the girl admitted she wasn't and that she just wanted to use the boys bathroom.

I asked my 16 yr old nephew on a different side of the family and in a different state and he confirmed that the same happens in his school.


What the hell is going on? I can't put into words my confusion over this..I just don't get it. Democrats have really screwed up that generation.

I 1000% agree that public schools should not be teaching or discussing sexual orientation or abnormalities with younger students. Stick to the biologic facts - Humans are animals and we reproduce with heterosexual intercourse. I just posted in another thread that kids are confused and bullied b/c they haven't come out of the closet. We've had to have those discussion with our daughter b/c she met a 5 year old girl whose parents say is trans (they also have 4 other kids and 3 of them, we've been told, are gay or lesbian. Oh...and none of them are over the age of 13.)

A good "Christian" would know better to separate the sin from the person. Many "Christians" fall into the easy trap of conflating the person committing the "sin" with the "sin" itself.

And there are several female Disney characters, that if real, I would love to date.
