And SCOTUS doesn't need any security, they just need to be armed - like teachers.

Give them home security:

• Put a metal detector and guard at their front door.
• All other entrances should remain closed and locked with an alarm at all times.

It’s a good point. We (as a nation) seem to selectively prosecute depending on location, political ideology and access, and wealth.

We need to shore up the crumbling foundations and values of our institutions and democracy. That will require leadership and decades.

It does meet the technical definition of sedition that people have posted here. But then again, any unlawful protest (think even the "Occupy Wall Street" one) meets the technical definition of sedition, and I guess seditious conspiracy as they often involve more than one person.
