Hornet QB to be Enshrined
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Re: Hornet QB to be Enshrined
1. His knee was down.
2. The play was correct, but the formation was wrong. Had the Hornets lined up in the I Formation and run the traditional triple as opposed to speed option out of Gun, the Griz defense would have had to respect the dive fake, and Ray would have only had to deal with the EMOL in determining whether or not to pitch. As it was, he bypassed the "third option" and went for the rarely seen "fourth option," which is a pitch after crossing the line. It rarely works, and didn't here, knee down or not. I've been a huge fan of the triple out of the I for third and medium, but you have to do it right, and that means having the quarterback under center and having your backs aligned in the I, the broken I, in the Straight T, or the Wishbone set.

Heard stories about that, first time seeing it. Thanks for posting.
He does look down, but oh well. We own the griz now.
Also those Hornet unis are horrendous and not sure why the old timer fans love the "SAC" helmets.

It did look like he was down. Back before there was 6/7 15,000+ stadiums in the Big Sky. Montana used to have calls go their way all the time.
