Mar-a-Lago is not a SCIF facility. And just because you have a security clearance, it doesn't mean you can access anything...and certainly not keep documents at home (especially nuclear documents if true). Even the current President doesn't have access to everything.

I don't doubt that, but it's not that I trust Trump, it's that I don't trust the DOJ and more specifically, the FBI.

I don't doubt that, but it's not that I trust Trump, it's that I don't trust the DOJ and more specifically, the FBI.

One thing that was just thrown out there is that, allegedly, Trump created a standing order that any documents that he left the White House with would be declassified. This was supposedly done during his term so that he could take documents with him to "work remotely".

I have no idea if it is true and/or if any of this matters, but it would seem that every President would do this.

Nope. Trump had a binder full of documents he wanted declassified. It went through one round of declassification and then they said they needed a second round. Trump's lawyers say they don't need further redactions. This has been going on for over two years now.

I don't know when Trump says he wants them declassified and if they aren't until fully through the process, but it's been common knowledge he declassified Operation Hurricane documents.

It's been almost two years. I'll have brush up because I'm sure I'm not 100% on this, but I'm close.

In his final full day in office, President Donald Trump says he has declassified information related to the FBI’s investigation into ties between Russia and his 2016 presidential campaign.

He did not reveal what that information was Tuesday, except to say that it was included in a binder of materials that the Justice Department had provided to the White House at his request late last month.

The material being declassified relates to Crossfire Hurricane, the FBI’s code name for the investigation it began in 2016 into whether the Trump campaign was coordinating with Russia to tip the election. The declassification move is part of a continuing effort by Trump and his allies, including in Congress, to release information aimed at discrediting the Russia probe.
